How can anyone afford to dress themselves in Boden?

I got a catlogue in the other day and the prices were through the roof. I know it's talked about on here a lot , but am I just not buying decent clothes if I don't pay these prices?

Honestly Lynette they've held out really well - admittedly having a baby meant they were out of circulation for a good 14 months but they have washed really well.

As for the aspirations - aspiring to be middle class with a kitchen diner and a labrador. Isn't that we all think of when we shop at Boden?!! The thread was hilarious!

I can afford it.
But I don't like the stuff.

You cut your cloth accordingly and shop to suit your budget and your taste.

I buy a fair bit but it is within my budget.

You can get nice clothes cheaper I'm sure, I don't limit myself to one shop for everything but find I gravitate to certain shops for certain things as I know they suit me/last.

I wait for a discount code, got alot of my DDs stuff from there with the £10 off code.

For me, something that makes me feel great is worth the price, if I happen to have the money that month. (but I am still loving my £14 matalan dress and £15 topshop leggings!)

Well, my parents are middle class, I have a kitchen diner (and a dining room), but I definately aspire to having a labrador.

Well i LOVE Boden. And I have a labrador. Buy my things in the sales and also get really excited if I find Boden in a charity shop. Got a lovely linen blouse for £2 once

Aren't you being a bit er, narrow minded over this? Boden is not designer wear by any means. Some people can afford to pay a heck of a lot more for clothes than dear old Boden. I don't get this "Boden is all about aspiration"- if I wanted to aspire to something it would be buying designer clothes from Liberty or somewhere, all my undies from Rigby & Peller, and shoes from Jimmy Choo, not middle of the road Boden!

I buy Boden for the kids because most of the items get washed and worn hundreds of times and still look nice. AND the clothes are really cute!
That is my experience anyway.

As far as buying for myself, there are usually only a handful of things I want from Boden anyway.
