swimming costume size

my previous swimming costume is my clothes size.
i want to buy a speedo costume in the hope it will last longer but there sizes are 34,36,38 so is it my bra size?

that sounds like european sizing

If you're a 10/12 you will fit a 36, if you are a 12/14 you'll need a 38. However, 'tis always best to try 'em on imo. Good luck
