Any experts on big pants?

None of my knickers are giving me any satisfaction!

So what do I need?

I need comfy cotton everyday pants, not passion killers, if at all possible, that will nicely hold in a moderate c-section overhang and cover a fairly generous arse.

But I just can't be doing with the ones that come right up to navel level.

I quite like some of the "shorts" types. Although I find many of them, with their lack of elastic round the backs of the legs (iyswim) leave me feeling a little bit insecure.

I find the M&S Mid knickers better for tummy coveringhere

and the seam-free hi-leg are also nice and stretchy and slightly holdy-inny.

Yikes at the hi-legs (!) maybe 10 15 years ago ...

Was forlornly hoping there was something a bit jazzier but yet still holdinnier than M&S midis.

The hi-legs definitely have a bit more covering than they look - I'm an 18 and they go over my not-insubstantial tummy and frankly giant arse.

That thread we had a couple of weeks ago about bras was good - everyone was moaning about how they didn't do good ass-covering briefs with nice bras, instead it was just shorts and thongs.

ekemoose - I know the exact problem you have as I have it too. I usually have a dig around Debenhams or M&S as they have the best selection I find for bigger bottoms and flexibility in material for c-section overhang.

I have found a few pairs that sit below the naval but hold my derriere and overhang in. Not the nicest of subjects to be discussing but I find it the knickers are too short down front they it rolls under my overhang and irritates my scar - VERY uncomfortable.

Try those two shops - maybe you will find something.

Forgot to say I usually go for something that has lycra in as well as cotton - gives extra support.

i got some at la redoute but they are rather sturdy cotton. and i spent half today discreetly retucking overhang in so something else is needed.

i could go into waist high pants if they weren't boyleg or thong.

Sloggi do some good hold in pants in various styles. They have a high cotton content and have never rolled down.

FS- They are are lovely. You can't beat Sloggi imo! They cost a bit more but wash well and last forever, so work out cheaper than the other brands in the long run.
