What brand skincare do you use for sensitive, combination skin?

My facial skin is really terrible atm. Spotty, dry and blocked pores. I have really combination skin - parts like an oil slick and others dry and flaky and very sensitive to boot.

I really need help. I want to fork out on a decent skin care regime but don't want to waste money if it doesn't suit.

Anyone else suffer the same problems? What brand do you use on your face?

I too have combination skin. I've been using E45 Moisturising Lotion for quite a while and find it really very good. Has totally sorted out the dryness but I don't find my skin gets very oily. And it's not very expensive.

Origins. Love it. Would eat beans on toast all week to be able to afford it. In fact will have to do so when I go back to work part time next week. My skin is like yours otherwise!

I would use E45 round my nose as my allergies dry it out and cause my eczema to break out but wouldn't have thought about using the moisturising lotion over my face for fear of it making it really oily.

Clinique. I had terrible skin until I started their 3 step plan and whilst I still get the odd spot it has improved my skin. I've been using it for about 10 years now and I will often try something new now and then but always go back to it.

Ditto Clinique 3-step - completely got rid of all the lumps and bumps. I didn't have spots but I had really blotchy skin and those horrible whitehead things under the surface. Nothing worked until an assistant on the Clinique counter in Selfridges sorted me out. I am eternally grateful!

Started using Clinique last week (after a long break). Skin is looking better already. Got the foaming face wash (anti-blemish), clarifiying lotion number 2, and gel mosturiser (not lotion as oil free).

I wouldn't have thought of using clinique as I have a friend who took a bad reaction to it.

I too have those whitehead type things under my skin currantbun and was beginning to think nothing would get rid of them. I'll have a trawl round the clinique counter on Friday when I'm in town.

I too have combination skin and have been using dermalogica products for the last 4 years or so and they have really improved my skin.

Go and book in for a facial and they will recommend products to suit your skin exactly.

Dermalogica. Would swear by it. Clinique far too harsh for my skin. Would suggest going to a salon for a facial where they use Dermalogica products and get the therapist to recommend to you the right products to use (cleanser, toner, moisturiser). You can usually buy in the salon but you can also purchase online (I use a website called BeautyFlash) which is much much cheaper.
