Help - 'Modern African Attire' for wedding

Myself and DH are going to a wedding this weekend and the dress code on the invite asks everyone to wear 'Modern African Attire' (the couple are African, we're not).

Ive not had time/energy to sort this out and am now panicing as wedding is on saturday. The Bride says not to worry too much, but would like to make some kind of an effort ... any ideas?

that's tricky
something with a tribal print?
something like this?

I would go for maybe linen trousers and maybe a tunic top with beaded detail.

Or a plain dress with some nice chunky beads.

this site may give some ideas. Perhaps a Nelson Mandela type shirt for your dh?

I think anything with a bright or bold print would be fine - Monsoon have some crackers atm eg this one or this one

ie don't wear a cream linen suit from Hobbs with matching shoes/bag and a big hat.

DH might be more of a problem - perhaps a collarless shirt under a light-coloured suit?

thanks - think ill just go for a brightly patterned silk dress i already have. Perhaps pile on the bangles.
