girls boots nice purple boots

women's boots nice purple boots

i might even prefer the girls ones, leather not patent. and less of a trainer shoe soul. They wouldn't go up that far on an adult's calf would they? I'm only size 12 but have inthe past found it a tight squeeze zipping up fancy boots.

wdyt? bad idea to order the girls ones?!

Yes, because I am deliberately stalking you and actually took any notice of who the OP was Get real.

The girls purple ones look like they're made of shiny plastic. The only ones that look nice are the suede ones. Actually, the women's boots look cheap and nasty too (although I can't see any purple ones). For some reason the original link didn't work for me and I was looking at the wrong ones.

SoupDragon · 24/08/2009 18:14

In the past, I've found that the Mini Boden shoe sizes aren't at all that generous.

MaggieLeo · 24/08/2009 18:22

Soup, I didn't for a minute think you were stalking me. I was jokin'

If I do order the gilrs purple boots I'd order 39 to be on the safe side.

Soup I think Maggie was only being silly.

Maggie - Soup doesn't like anything on S&B. Fact.

MaggieLeo · 24/08/2009 18:24

Yes, I said I was joking, but I can see it was one of those jokes that wasn#t funny - that kind... I meant it was a light hearted comment. You know, a jaunty comment. There! that is the word I wanted.

Yes that's how I took it too

TrillianAstra · 24/08/2009 18:36

of people who don't have size 41 feet.

MorrisZapp · 24/08/2009 21:31

If you're too amazonian for childrens clothes, remember that mens clothes are almost always cheaper than women's and often come in heavier weight, better quality fabrics.

What pisses me off is the way they use prints and slogans on kids and mens clothes to stop women being able to wear them.

If they were just plain then why pay a premium for a smaller garment in a thinner fabric?

FlightHattendant · 24/08/2009 21:34

I always look at the mens stuff Morris, but the shape does little for a female figure, usually...no waist, at least and that's prob my only redeeming feature!! But the fabric does tend to be stronger etc. which is nice. Mens socks, yes, every time...

MorrisZapp · 24/08/2009 21:39

Aye, exactly. But there are some things that don't need waist shaping, ie a cosy hooded sweatshirt in navy or something.

In the days when I used to be willing to give Abercrombie and Fitch my money (boycotting the evil fuckers now) I used to buy the mens hoodies as the womens are made for anorexic college girls and cost more for the exact same design, with less fabric! I take grave exception at being told I'm 'extra large' when in fact I'm a size 14, which by my reckoning makes me about average. Or 'medium' in clothes speak.

Mens socks, that is the way forward.

millenniumfalcon · 24/08/2009 21:43

i have to admit to buying girl's stuff in h&m but it's not like there's any real difference with their standard fashion range, it's just half the price [refusing to face up to real age smiley]

fishie · 24/08/2009 21:49

men's socks from a proper men's outfitters are lovely. boden man is horrid and nasty and thin.

FlightHattendant · 24/08/2009 21:54

Are A&F terrible? Got a pair of old jeans from charity shop by them, which were quite nice...massively too long though! and my thighs have grown I think now...

MorrisZapp · 24/08/2009 21:59

A&F clothes are fine, often better quality than other high street stuff. I just hate their advertising, employment policy and pricing.

My DP swears by their jeans, smart shirts etc but I just can't be doing with their semi porno advertising and Aryan youth cult. I'd buy the stuff it it was in a charity shop.

FlightHattendant · 24/08/2009 22:03

Oh gosh managed somehow to avoid all that! Seems I am accidentally very 'fashionable' in a dodgy kind of way!!

Sounds revolting.

MorrisZapp · 24/08/2009 22:13

It is revolting but the clothes are cute and they wash very well. Please, don't have nightmares

FlightHattendant · 24/08/2009 22:17

well they've got a big hole across the knee now as well. I think they will have to go.

The best jeans seem to come from charity shops. Have got a nice pair of levis that were half price from la redoute, kind of flare, dark blue...old fashioned jeans that was pure luck though.
