I've seen this dress on ebay for a bargainous price of £4.99 + p&p, and i really like it. I have it in mind to wear at Christmas, when i will be very heavily pregnant, and i need to make a good impression - it's the first Christmas with the almost inlaws.

Now, honest opinoins - look alright or big spotty blimp?

dress

I like the pattern, but it's not go much shape and the material looks flimsy so it may be cold in December/ it will show every lump and bump / it will look like a rag after wearing for a short while!

lljkk · 20/08/2009 08:56

Will it (the big dots) make your bump look bigger, would you mind that? With something shiny and black or silver I think it would look lovely for Xmas.

Cheap and nasty. If you buy it you will regret it. Wait until nearer the time and get something plain.

missmelly · 20/08/2009 09:01

the fabric looks very thin.. you can see the manequin's arm through the sleeve

BunnyLebowski · 20/08/2009 09:02

It looks like it's made of nasty cheap material, has no shape whatsoever and will make you look like a badly wrapped xmas pressie (in spotty wrapping paper!)

MinkyBorage · 20/08/2009 09:04

it looks like it should cost £4.99

DH gave me a very wise piece of style advice when I was dithering over flowery maternity dresses:

If you wouldn't wear it when not pregnant, don't buy it

Deemented · 20/08/2009 16:18

I had thought it might be nice with a pair pf black flares under it...

It would make a nice tea towel.

FrameyMcFrame · 20/08/2009 16:59

NO. it's horrible

what size are you? I got this dress when I was last pg here
I've got it in 14 which is generous

FrameyMcFrame · 20/08/2009 17:00

If it fits you can have it for 4.99!

YanknCock · 20/08/2009 17:03

I actually considered that same dress a few months ago for DH's work do, but decided it couldn't possibly be any good for that price. Suspect it will be very poor quality material and cut badly.
