I have 2 pairs ( just turned 31) and so does my DS( 9 months) though not the same ones, that would be cruel!

mothersmilk · 17/08/2009 10:11

OllieWollieWoo · 17/08/2009 11:45

I've seen some gorgeious ones in a shop in Holland - dark grey but in a mottled sweatshirt like material if that makes sense - 60 euros over here tho!!! Would be lovley for the winter.....

nicknameidlike · 17/08/2009 11:52

If link doesnt work - type dark grey converse in the search box!

AnyFucker · 17/08/2009 12:06

well, I'm in my 40's and I have 4 pairs

I love 'em

I am the only one in my circle of friends/acquaintances but I don't care

I will still be wearing 'em in my 80's

cocolepew · 17/08/2009 12:10

Doubleones are in Office and Schuh, I'm after a grey and lime green pair, but I already own white, blue, black, white with a picture of faces running around the back and brown leather boots .

MuffinToptheMule · 17/08/2009 15:24

OllieWollieWoo. I used to have the sweatshirt ones. They are very cosy and comfy.

fairydust · 17/08/2009 17:37

next do them as well

triffictits · 17/08/2009 19:50

KnickKnack · 17/08/2009 21:26

I am still drooling over the double ones but cannot find anywhere to buy them, no one delivers to Ireland

cookielove · 18/08/2009 19:18

is there not an office in ireland? or erm sole?

woohoo i have something some one else wants this has never happened before

KnickKnack · 18/08/2009 21:53

dont think they is an Office anywhere near me...have only ever heard of them on here Online they have the double tongue one, but not the raspberry double everything one (ditto Sole)

plus most of your online stores don't deliver to Ireland grr

KeithTalent · 18/08/2009 22:08

I've never been able to wear them since I saw a picture of David Cameron wearing them on holiday a couple of years ago...turned me right off them.

MaggieBeauLeo · 18/08/2009 22:44

There's office in dundrum. where are you knick knack. I love them too, I saw somebody wearing them in dundrum today funnily enough. hassled looking woman with loads of children but her clothes were great.

does david cameron have a pair?? ooo. I'm too late really aren't i?

MaggieBeauLeo · 18/08/2009 22:45

Boden deliver their rip off £50 imitation converse runners to Ireland. That'd be about ?70 + p&p tempted?

I like their silver and leopard skin ones though. wouldn't spend that much though!!

MaggieBeauLeo · 18/08/2009 22:47

off to check out next's versions.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 18/08/2009 22:50

Used to love a pair of Converse trainers I had in my 20s. But the ones that have been linked to in this thread just look like the kind of deck shoes you see in Cotton Traders leaflets in Sunday supplements.

KnickKnack · 18/08/2009 22:52

maggie, I several hours north of dundrum
I've no trouble getting hold of converse (I have a red pair of hi tops at the moment)...its those cool raspberry/conch double ones that Cookie linked to that I crave!

MaggieBeauLeo · 18/08/2009 22:54

Yeah, they were nice. Next only do boring colours.

OnlyWantsOneDoesntLikeDM · 18/08/2009 22:55

I love them too - have a pair of pink boots and a new pair of raspberry double uppers fab and yes you can stick them in the washing machine x x x

PilgrimSoul · 18/08/2009 22:58

Knickknack, I'm in Ireland and a converse wearer. I got mine in Vienna shoes. There is a branch in Blackrock, Bray and Arklow.

HarryB · 19/08/2009 08:24

I'm planning on getting some at the weekend. I really fancy the jeans, converse, blazer look for casual slummy yummy mumminess heaven in autumn.

KnickKnack · 19/08/2009 16:31

thanks Pilgrim, have no problem getting converse, it those special ones I can't get.

cocolepew · 19/08/2009 16:40

There's an Office and Schuh in Belfast, they both do the double ones.
