How much for a little girls haircut?

Just took the Dds for a haircut well a trim about 1 inch off the bottom plus trim of DD2s fringe.

Was £25 £12.50 each. Is this normal? It was a little local salon nothing posh or exciting. I would not get mine done there but seemed alright for a quick trim for the DDs.

How much does anyone else pay? The Dds are 10 and 7.

Last time I had a cut, the hairdresser did DD, 2yo, just a tidy up, it was £18 for us both I did ask for just a rough dry rather than proper blow dry of mine though as I hate being messed about with.

I suppose I was thinking that maybe it would be along the lines of £8.50 each.

In Cambridge £5 or £7 depending on which I go to per DD. DDs are 1 and 3 yo.

£12.50 is taking the p*ss. I thought £7 was bad enough for quickly snipping DD2's hair!

My Dds are a bit older than yours Rinky so I would expect it to cost more than £5.

They have very long, thick, wavy hair so not the easiest to cut I admit.

I used to pay £5 for a trim but it went up when they turned 7.

If I take DS(3) to the barbers on a Saturday it is 9.40 - and thats for a very unexciting cut.

Wow - no I would say that is not normal and very pricey. I take DD to my salon and we pay about £5. Its a nice salon but we are in the country so prob a bit cheaper than elsewhere (my hair would cost about £13).

Just paid £6.50 each for DS's to have their haircut.

The salon I go to, to have your childrens hair cut (providing they go with you, ie when you ahve an appointment) it is -

Free up to 7

£5 7-12

£10 12-15

Not telling you how much mine costs though.

We have a mobile hairdresser, and she charges me £2.00 to trim about inch or so of my daughters hair and trim her fringe, i just refuse to pay salon prices.

£15 at the hairdressers. Same for the person who does it at home.

I do dd's hair myself, but a friend asked how much a trim would be at a local salon for her dd, just a trim.....60 Euro

£6 for ds in our local salon where they have a kids corner. he gets to watch dvds while they cut it!

the barbers costs £8 for my boys! i paid £17 for my two oldest (10yr and 3.5yr) to have a proper cut and ds3 to have his fringe trimmed. i gave them £20 as i don't think its the easiest job in the world doing kids hair

It is £12 for my DD at a salon for children I get my hair cut there too so usually £40 is for two of us.

I think thats OK for London prices

i tool mine to our small local salon yesterday

£5 each for the boys, aged 3 and 5

£10 for DD aged 9, but it was a complete restyle, not just a trim. if its just a trim its £5 as well

these prices are for a " dry cut" , not wash and blow dry

Free, as we all go in for a haircut, and we spend an absolute fortune (I have colour/cut with top stylist as he is the only one who I have ever trusted not to eff it up). So, therefore, they would be taking the right royal mickey if after parting with a large amount of cash they attempted to charge for it!

She has fringe trimmed and a bob cut, she is 3.

Local hairdressers is £4.25 to cut DS hair (he's 2.5). Using scissors for a full trim and a dry cut just using a water spritzer. Takes her no more than 10 minutes to do (Cambridgeshire)

DD is 2 and is either £3 or more often than not free!

My 9 year old is half price at my salon on certain days but this is still £29 ...maybe an area of expenditure I could cut back on seeing it in print
