Wellies for toddler with wide feet? We are *desperate*

DS (2) is obsessed with puddles & water. Every day he spends at nursery, I collect a bag of soaked outfits to wash and a pair of soaked shoes. There is a fantastic big garden there and plenty of opportunity to get wet.

He really needs wellies -- I cannot find ones to fit him anywhere, though. Some days, some of the well-meaning nursery staff do put wellies from their extensive collection onto him, but they are always too tight. Usually they aren't even on his feet all the way, so he is kind of walking on tip-toes, and once I think this actually led to him twisting his ankle (hard to be sure b/c of his age, but he was saying "sore" and doing a funny on/off limp for a bit).

I am desperate there must be other wide-footed puddle-jumping kids out there any tips for welly sources? Or waterproof footwear of any type?

Have you tried Mothercare - We got some for our DD and they wouldn't fit cos they were really wide.

Otherwise Brantano had some - not sure how wide.

DS is very wide footed, and fits into the Kidorable ones. I have his last lot hanging around still, if your DS is a 24 european size and want them ffp

Otherwise, last winter DS had Ricosta boots that were waterproof, so unless it was really deep, he didn't need wellies at all

The Croc wellies are really wide

What size shoe is your ds? Both my boys are G or H fitting in clarks but this is mainly because they have a high instep so boots are always a problem whereas shoes wise we can just loosen laces/velcro

They are neoprene lined so toasty warm (have been tested by mine in the snow)
