Are Kerastase hair products worth the money?

I have my eye on trying a couple for Thick hair, but they are uite expensive and I dont want to find they are a let down.

I went through a phase of buying them and I wouldn't say they are worth the money. I just stick to Head and Shoulders now.

yes. they are worth the money. But... you must buy the right one (ask the hairdresser) AND don't be overly generous - they should last months at a time as they're concentrated. This makes them less expensive than they seem when you take it on a per use basis.

L'oreal and Redken are both also excellent. I think L'Oreal might be slightly cheaper.

11 years ago, which I know is a long time so they may have changed, I used to work in a salon where we had Kerastase and I didn't think much of them.
I loved the Paul Mitchell stuff though and regularly stole bought lots of their products.

We used everything we sold on customers and the vast majority asked for, and bought Paul Mitchell over the Kerastase.

I used kerastase (was recommended by hairdresser) but they are packed full chemicals, and result was my hair fell out alot more than usual. The minute I stopped using it, no hair falling out.

I went through an aveda phase and still love aveda actually (hair never falls out with aveda) but currently in love with Redken Body Full. I have fine hair, and this leaves my hair so light and swishy, and kind to my highlights too.

Did not find kerastase any better than the usual stuff. It has a nice smell, tho. Am using Aussie at the mo and loving it.

I've never used their shampoo or conditioner, but last week I biught a leave in conditioner called Sublimateur Jour and I will be bying it again, it's really good.

I have very thick, slightly wavy hair. I have been washing and towel drying it, then putting the SJ on it, tying it into a ponytail and when I take it down a few hours later it is really glossy and looks like I had a good blowdry.

Read about it in a few magazines this month and got it on ebay for about 13 pounds. Definately recommend it.

They are good, but are made by Nestle, so not something I'd actively switch to if you aren't using them already.

In my experience, their deep conditioners are very effective, but DON'T buy the shine spray - it is like putting clear nail varnish on your hair.

I think some of them are brilliant (for me, the volumising shampoo and conditioner), some much more average, and others really rubbish. Consensus among the people I know who use them seems to be that shampoos/conditioners better than styling products, and you can make them last for ages.

You can find quite good discounts if you look hard online!

I really like them. I use shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, styling balm and shine serum. (Not all at the same time, mind you!) I use the orange range (can't remember the name).

Like OhBling says, you don't use loads of product so they last a while. I have fine, long hair (lots of it, though) and I'd say a bottle of shampoo lasts at least 6-8 weeks with two washes a go, about 4 times a week. Conditioner lasts much longer, as do products.

I prefer Paul Mitchell or Redken. They are expensive but you only need a tiny bit so they last ages. Definitely get the hairdresser to tell you which one they recommend. You only really appreciate how good they are when you go back to using the cheap stuff
