Eyelash Curlers - I need a new (good) pair

Frasersmum123 · 21/07/2009 17:05

Where can I get a good pair from? I bought a No7 pair which are rubbish, ditto Jemma Kidd. I feel naked if I dont have my eyelashes curled and I dont have the time to go and get the prmed before I go on holiday next week.

Help me please

will be watching with interest, need to replace mine too!

Apparently Shu Uemura eyelash curlers are the ones all the slebs and make-up artists rave about.

Not sure where you can get them - I think Space NK stock them.

cahu · 24/07/2009 00:57

I did not find Shu Uemura any better than usual ones. I find the most effective ones are the ones that have the springs attached and are usually gold in colour. They create more tension...... I have bought them from Superdrug and Asda in the past and are not expensive.

Was back of the queue when eyelashes were given out and, trust me, I have tried everything. These are definitely the best.

As someone who previously used Shu Uemura curlers, I'm currently using Mr Mascara curlers that i got for about a fiver from TK Maxx that are just as good. I think Boots sell them too.

Mumsnut · 24/07/2009 11:36

Shue Uemura WORSE than ordinary cheap curleras imo. They bend my lashes at right angles rather than in a curve, and not very well at that.

sherby · 24/07/2009 11:40

Tweezerman very good

american site but I think boots stock them

I would actually recommend eyelash perming. I've had it done a couple of times and thought it was really worth the money.

Nezzi · 24/07/2009 11:53

Eyelash perming?!
Is this something I need to do, I have short sparse lashes?

BunnyLebowski · 24/07/2009 11:57

So the slebs and make-up artists are talking outta their asses then

I use the superdrug own brand ones (cost about a fiver) and they're fab.

cahu · 24/07/2009 13:11

Can you ever believe what the slebs and beauty journos say because a lot of the time they are just promoting a product they are in some way affiliated to.

nappyaddict · 15/08/2009 13:09

Those of you with the Shu Uemura ones do you have the original ones or the new and improved ones?
