cornsillk · 19/07/2009 20:06

I've got no models on mine. The shoes are lovely.

janeite · 19/07/2009 20:06

Can't see any models - just stick things.

AgentCodyBanks · 19/07/2009 20:07

no the shoes are orthapeadic

monkeysmama · 19/07/2009 20:10

Not that keen. They have some okay stuff but lots of places do nice stuff for half the price so unless the quality is high end doesn't seem worth it....

cornsillk · 19/07/2009 20:10

Cody you are not looking properly. Are you on the Kew website by accident?

janeite · 19/07/2009 20:14

Can't be doing with Kew - all the stuff seems to be made for great lanky folk with orangutan arms.

AgentCodyBanks · 19/07/2009 20:15

are oyu a troll size janeite?

janeite · 19/07/2009 20:17

I am small but perfectly formed - and 6' 5 inside! I think I must have strangely short arms though.

EachPeachPearMum · 19/07/2009 21:52

They are in proportion my dear!

I did see a gorgeous dress in kew last week... in silk, and no buttons so useless for me atm.... but it was perfect length for us janeite.

janeite · 19/07/2009 21:54

Really? Did you get that M&S dress?

EachPeachPearMum · 19/07/2009 22:20

oh, I haven't even had chance to look at it! gah...
looks like dh is over his piggy episode though, so we should be on for thursday

maybe we should go shopping instead?

for books, of course

Jewelsandgems · 20/07/2009 08:49

lovely website, and I like quite a few of the skirts! And dresses, and bags, and necklaces....

Found a goegeous dress in sleepware catagory
here

But I would wear it over leggings/skinny jeans and not to sleep in!

DarrellRivers · 20/07/2009 08:52

i like this hat

fishie · 20/07/2009 08:57

oh i love anthropologie and work dangerously close to regent st. swoon but luckily i can neither afford them nor be able to walk in them. would have to be propped in corner.

thehairybabysmum · 20/07/2009 09:13

My friend took me to one of their shops in NY and said it was her favourite shop in NY.

It was awful...basically the clothes were like a (very) expensive Per Una...too many frills and trimmings...awful. Not good quality material either.

We both had 1 afternoon only to shop as DH's had the kids (apart from ds2 who was still a baby). She then proceeded to spend TWO hours faffing around and trying stuff on whilst i mooched whilst trying not to look too bored, i had to sit on a mind blowingly expensive sofa and feed ds.

I did buy some nice cupboard door handles after 1.5 hrs of browsing but can confidently state that there was NOT oNE nice thing to wear in that shop last September.

I was not happy as i had wanted to spend my afternoon whizzing through as many shops as possible on Broadway not spend all of it in ONE shop.

I did make it to a banana republic outlet later in the holiday and made up for my frustrations there!!

thehairybabysmum · 20/07/2009 09:16

Reading that it would appear im still a bit bitter about my lost afternoon of child free NY shopping

Dineysor · 20/07/2009 09:17

that is IT
its very very per una

AitchTwoOh · 20/07/2009 09:22

sooooo over-priced.

fishie · 20/07/2009 09:39

oh don't stoppit. i need to preserve my memory of it as american boutiquey paradise. i got some lovely trousers there.

but is there anything worse than overpriced per una?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 20/07/2009 11:38

Can I just repeat that when I said it wasn't too spenny I was looking at the first page of jewellery, didn't get as far as the clothes.

Am horrified to learn that the quality is shite. And STOP talking about Per Una, aaarrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh. Per Una is awful, this stuff is lovely.

fishie · 20/07/2009 14:26

claudia you and i can don blinkers and visit the shop when it opens.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 20/07/2009 22:55

LOVE to Fishie.

And then obvously have to go to Per Una for some quality frills.

I like the look of the dresses. They're the sort of thing I spend ages in Topshop hunting for - but you have to hunt through loads and loads of other stuff for the one dress. On this website, there are lots of them.

I couldn't see when the Regent Street shop is due to open. Was it on the website somewhere that I didn't spot?

Am absolutely horrified by the Per Una comment. That is a comment that could kill their UK launch stone dead. As Cher says in "Clueless": "That is way harsh."
