Stylish one-piece swimsuits?

I hope to be going on holiday soon for the first time since having DCs. I've got loads of bikinis but my tummy's a fright so I don't really want to wear them.

I don't want to look frumpy though so I'm after something glam but can't find it anywhere. I hate tankinis and everything else looks like I should be wearing it to the gym, not on holiday - or it's really dull.

I'm 32 and a size ten, figure fine apart from the wrinkly tum.

Any ideas gratefully received

Got one recently from Speedo as was reviewed in ?Red Magazine.
Really nice slightly low cut front, black or brown and not too high cut.

Also, it sucks bits in without you looking like you are bursting out elsewhere. Ordered it from the Speedo website.

i dont know what kind of price range your looking at but there are lads of fab designer ones at asos there are also loads if your on a budget there too. I personally think for a size 10 figure the one piece swimsuits with cut out sides are really flattering i am also a similar size and wear these to conseal the stretch marks and wrinkly tum while still showing off abit of flesh :D

I got the speedo one too Renagade Mum, it is fantastic, thinking of getting the other colour in it, called Belle. It is probably best for those with boobs, so if you are a trim size 10 then it might not be ideal for you.

FaceBoak · 13/07/2009 16:19

fleecy if you are size 10 wear a bikini! whack some false tan on and wear a sarong!

wh00ps · 13/07/2009 16:22

wow - who know speedo did such nice swimsuits - I always associate them with proper training type stuff.

I like this one - it's like a bakini at the back but would cover your tummy

With Speedo, I just bought one this morning - I am a serious swimmer and was buying suit for chlorine resistance but I couldn't believe how this one sucked my bits in. Amazing!

I bought a great one from figleaves last year by a company called moon-something (helpful!). Halter neck which is flattering and slightly more glam than just an ordinary strapped thing. It looked quite like this:

this one

I also bought a john lewis suck it all in thing as i was feeling post natally flabby and it added YEARS to me. I looked instantly middle aged. Grim. So don't do it. Having sais that, this one doesn't look too bad here....

If I had cash, I'd buy from Melissa Odabash... here

mum2b09 · 13/07/2009 17:59

if i had the money it would definately be this one here although i could not justify spending over £30 on a swimming costume

jujumaman · 13/07/2009 20:06

omg £220 for a swimming costume

It is fab though [wishes was rich emoticon]

Fleecy · 13/07/2009 21:23

Thank you so much for all your suggestions - I'm off to browse through all the websites.

Loving the £220 one but unless I can find a high-street copy, it's a no go for me too!

I can't believe I didn't think of Figleaves and Asos. Never would have thought of Speedo as I didn't realise they did non-gym-ish stuff too.

I do like the ones with the side cut out - made the mistake of trying one with the tummy cut out today, thinking it would be high enough. My saggy tum flopped over a bit. Nice!

FaceBoak, I think it would have to be worn very high on the waist for me to get away with it! Hopefully next year... Maybe I should have started a thread on how to tone up your tum in a month! That's not a bad idea!

Fleecy, have a look at this swimsuit from Seafolly I have it & it is the perfect tummy cover up, although by the sound of it, I need that far more than you!
