Not really, I am always desperate that they make it look as natural as possible - ie dark brown. Last time I got it done at the hairdresser it had a wierd black bit in it, which is a bit awkward as she is a good cutter and keeps asking me if I want her to colour my hair again. Answer no, home results much better thanks

cornsilk · 12/07/2009 09:50

Was the hairdresser biting his/her lip? It's the hairdressers that can't bring themselves to do natural colours.

Simples · 12/07/2009 09:57

LOL.I know. when they get that book out and i think " hmmt he navy is rather nice" .. but i want it brown
i say " i dont want it to look like its dyed i dont want black witch hair and ther eis NO RED in my hair and i dont want raccon stripesa nd I havenet been blonde since 1973"

then she got it

I always have blond highlights. Every time I have to argue against black/red stripes in amongst it. They seem to think I'm stifling their creativity.

Simples · 12/07/2009 10:01

i have never had highlights

or a perm
or fainted
[placed a bet
mowed a lawn
painted a room
nosebleed
drunk locozade
but hey enough abotu me

Haha at raccoon.

I told mine to dye mine brown - wanted it back to my natural colour because couldn't afford to keep having the highlights done. She persuaded me that it would look too harsh all brown and needed a FEW small ones to break it up. But my natural hair colour IS all brown anyway?!

Ah well its all grown out now and back to my natural colour.

cornsilk · 12/07/2009 10:05

Simples you have a life of leisure.

Simples · 12/07/2009 10:06

oh i do all sorts of other stuff.

Simples · 12/07/2009 10:07

Lol at natural colour being too harsh.
i hate the women of a certian age who deludeldly think they are white blonde stil

but seem to end up green

I have never had a perm either - my hairs annoyingly wavy and sometimes I think all curly permed would be great. But have heard so many horror stories...!

cornsilk · 12/07/2009 10:07

Including MNing a fair bit lately...!

pointydog · 12/07/2009 10:07

I thought everyone over the age of 35 was made to drink lucozade when sickly as a child.

Simples · 12/07/2009 10:08

job contract finito

And I have no trouble getting the haridresser to dye my hair brown.

Your hairdresser must be very chi-chi

cornsilk · 12/07/2009 10:11

Agree pointy - those bottles with the orange cellophane on them were the only cure for childhood ills in the 70's.

pointydog · 12/07/2009 10:13

yes, it was awful. Never liked the stuff. Lucozade to drink and packet or tinned chicken noodle soup to eat.

GiraffesCanRunA10k · 12/07/2009 10:16

Lucozade is vile

SueW · 12/07/2009 10:31

My hairdresser dyes my hair brown no problem.

In the past I have had bright red streaks in it, but still quite subtle. Pic on my profile.

GiraffesCanRunA10k · 12/07/2009 10:42

Nice hair Sue.

Simples · 12/07/2009 10:53
