Those clown necklace monstrosities are seen in the Stockport, Greater Manchester area! Think Shameless!? What I find odd is Older mums in jumpers and leggings will wear them with about 10 other gold neclaces all intertwinwed and sort of 'mucky' and young girls will wear them with their leggings dress, belt etc (new look) clothing! Apparently the bigger the clown the bigger the status!

Eddas · 09/07/2009 20:40

oh brown sounds nice

i'll stick to my slogan t-shirts, jeans and trainers with my gold clown necklace and blowjob earrings

KingRolo · 09/07/2009 20:40

PMSL at that drunk.

Surely that's not real? Is it?

It seems these moveable monstrosities may have taken over from the massive gold coin signet rings which used to be worn in a similar way. God I wanted one of those when I was 8. I used to pore over the Argos catalogue choosing which would be best. Now I realise they were actually NAFF.

janeite · 09/07/2009 20:43

Everybodyneeds - love your name.

ThePhantomPlopper · 09/07/2009 20:44

this bear looks unhappy.

EverybodyNeedsABosomForAPillow · 09/07/2009 20:44

I think the drunk (on a lampost) is real. However, I notice there are no customer reviews yet. Could it be that nobody has ever bought one?

NorbertDentressangle · 09/07/2009 20:45

Do you know what? I don't think I've ever seen anyone wearing one of those clown necklaces!

I'm obviously not mixing in the right/wrong circles

southeastastra · 09/07/2009 20:45

aw you're mean, i used to work with a really sweet girl who had that clown thing. she loved gold. wore tons of it.

EverybodyNeedsABosomForAPillow · 09/07/2009 20:45

Thanks Janeite. It's a shame it doesn't all fit on though.

mrsmaidamess · 09/07/2009 20:46

janeite I think a cool black bra under a cool white top can actually look quite...cool.

ThePhantomPlopper · 09/07/2009 20:46

I went to school with a girl who worn a clown, she was nice, I was in her circle but she was removed when it turned out she was dealing drugs!

janeite · 09/07/2009 20:51

Maybe if you are Kate Moss. Not the average woman in the Bullring on a Saturday afternoon.

craggie · 09/07/2009 20:59

Buying clothes from H&M kids and wearing them after you're 30.

Why?

Because they're kids clothes and also

thinking it's something cool/to aspire to - being the size of a 12 year old/underweight.

ThePhantomPlopper · 09/07/2009 21:11

I wear kids clothes, well kid's shorts and vest tops in the garden. Tis cheaper than the adult sized equivalent!

I don't aspire to be the size of 12yo and underweight, its just the way I am and its a bloody pain in the arse most of the time!

dexter73 · 09/07/2009 21:12

Kate Moss always wears black boots with jeans so it must be cool!!!
In fact if Kate Moss wore a wolf fleece with a clown chain they would be the next fashion must-have!

FAQinglovely · 09/07/2009 21:23

I still own a pair of winter PJ's I got when I was 12 - they were hardly worn and got put in a suitcase - so as they're still in good condition and still fit - I wear them.

I'm also currently sat wearing a Tesco 13-14yr boys fleecy jumper (which was bought especially for me)

muggglewump · 09/07/2009 21:27

I wear kids clothes all the time. I'm 5'2 and size 8. They fit better than most adult clothes and are cheaper.
My neighbour passes down stuff for DD from her 11 year old, and I raid the bags first. Two pairs of shoes I wear most came from her!

I'm not underweight either, just small.

suwoo · 09/07/2009 21:31

Just to go back to the naff list again. There is a mum at school that wears tracksuit bottoms and heels. Today they were wedges.

FAQinglovely · 09/07/2009 21:37

ahh - can I be crowned naffest MNer of the day?

M&S T-shirt top
Tesco (child) fleecy jumper
Blue jeans
Trainers

noddyholder · 09/07/2009 22:03

ihavenosecrets · 10/07/2009 11:18

Black boots/shoes are fine with jeans. I would look pretty naff if I wore my brown ones because I'm wearing a black top. Is this ok? Will I be laughed out of polite society?

Simples · 10/07/2009 11:26

still brown I htink
tbh depends on the rinse of the jeans for me. and cut of the boot
