What do you reckon then?

www - think it was Courtney Cox. She chose her bum (and looks rough around the chops now, I think). Me - I'm looking after my face at my bum's expense!

Smurfgirl · 17/05/2005 13:17

My mum is 52 and has really good skin, a few wrinkles but pretty good, but she is also quite fat and that makes you look younger in the face IMO.

She never smoked or sunbathed or drank too much, so its an incentive to me to give all three up!!

PuffTheMagicDragon · 17/05/2005 14:51

gdk, I assumed (hope she doesn't beat me up) that Jools was in her early 60's - not sure if she said so in her posts, but that's the impression I got.

I briefly saw her pic on here one night (no not Hartley ) - and she looks much younger than early 60's.

Come on Jools, fess up with your secrets to the elixir of youth!

Agree with everyone re sun exposure and smoking - they are ageing.

Jools must have led a saint like life if this parable is true

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 15:30

Where's Jool's picture - I want to see!

OldieMum · 17/05/2005 16:34

I don't think it's just a question of whether or not you have wrinkles. Wrinkles are a sign of having an expressive, rather than a blank face, in your earlier years, after all. Where the lines develop does reveal something about character, however. I and my friends are fortysomethings and many of us are getting our wrinkles now. I always think about this quote when I see people whom I know are not happy developing frown lines between their eyebrows, and people who smile a lot developing vertical lines next to their mouths.

Gobbledigook · 17/05/2005 19:27

Puff - JT is most certainly not in her 60s! Hence the reason she looks younger - she is!! Ha ha!! She still does look good for age though - everyone tells her so!

JoolsToo · 17/05/2005 21:19

EARLY 60's????!!!!

pass me the smelling salts - quick!

Puff - who's been spreading malicious gossip? (am the same age as JanH )

Anteater - thankyou - you're a gentleman

PuffTheMagicDragon · 17/05/2005 21:34

How can I make it up to you !

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 22:18

So where is the link to Jools picture then? I notice that Jools who is normally very forward with her links has gone coy on this one...

PuffTheMagicDragon · 17/05/2005 22:19

She gave us a late night peek one evening......

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 22:19

Oldiemum,

Having read your post I am consiously working on vertical lines by my mouth now and trying to smooth out my furrowed brow

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 22:21

Puff,

Unless she is a spineless wimp and total chicken she will do the same again...

(do you think that might provoke her into allowing another peek. I want to see if the picture corresponds to my perception!)

JoolsToo · 17/05/2005 22:22

what's your perception?

JoolsToo · 17/05/2005 22:23

cluck, cluck

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 22:26

Slim to medium build. 5 feet 7. Brown hair in short neat style. 'Cheeky' face and probably quite funky looking (I was going to say 'for your age' and then thought better of it...but you know what I mean).

Gobbledigook · 17/05/2005 22:32

ROFLMAO!!!

Am literally peeing my pants!!

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 22:33

Was I that wide of the mark then?

Gobbledigook · 17/05/2005 22:35

Nooo, I don't know why - it just has be in stitches! Height is way off!

Gobbledigook · 17/05/2005 22:35

You're actually not far off at all - it just made me laugh - I think it was the words 'cheeky' and 'funky'!!

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 22:38

Yes I can see how they might make a daughter of said person guffaw!

JoolsToo · 17/05/2005 22:38

hmc - lend me a tenner and I'll show you

handlemecarefully · 17/05/2005 22:39

Now pack that in at once!
