So tell me, how does one stay looking "cool as a cucumber" in this current heatwave?

I look like I'm about to wilt. My face is always shiny (despite using a hint of a tinted mosturiser), and I'm feel permanently damp (sorry if TMI). So ladies, please give me your top tips for staying cooool - anyone got any recommendations for make up in particular. I'm fed up with the shine!
