After huffwardly's bravery last week I am following her example.

I only ever wear jeans and shortish skirts. And dull dull dull long skirts for work. I am 44 and think that perhaps I shouldn't be showing off my pins so much and I must be able to do better than jeans.

I would love to be tiny and fairy-like but am not. What the hell do I wear.

BTW I had good advice on here about bras and now have a lovely one that gets rid of the lumpy in front of the arms look So that bit is sorted but I still have the problem of being big up top.

Photo on profile. Be gentle. Please....

OrmIrian · 29/06/2009 14:19

I moved last year, am now close to Chippenham - where are you? We'll have to have a meet up! You can meet my dd (on my profile).

MiniMarmite · 29/06/2009 14:36

I am of your figure and I'm 10 years younger than you! Show off your legs with pride

HeliumBee · 29/06/2009 14:40

Nothing wrong with hippy!!

HeliumBee · 29/06/2009 14:41

OOops dont know what happened there!!

OrmIrian · 29/06/2009 15:34

Thanks marmite.

I'm in that jewel of the south-west, Bridgwater! Not too far from Chippenham - that is near Trowbridge isn't it (shows huge ignorance of local geography)

OP posts:
OrmIrian · 29/06/2009 15:35

BTW which one is your DD ?

OP posts:
Rhubarb · 29/06/2009 16:00

The gorgeous Morticia of course!

Trowbridge, yes that's nearby. Is it nice in Bridgwater? (plans stalking agenda)

OrmIrian · 29/06/2009 16:03

No not particularly It has a 'reputation*. But I like it. I am a probably a peasant though and know no better.

We could meet up if you fancy sampling the delights of Bridgie. Or Taunton. Or anywhere.

Rhubarb · 29/06/2009 16:04

Yes, let's do that! I have a car now (bought from Potato Trader man at the service station on Thurs eve) so can travel. Perhaps a day out with the kids during the summer hols?

OrmIrian · 29/06/2009 16:08

OK. Good plan! I am off work on the week of 3rd August. Am supposed to be meeting riven in Bristol on 3rd - you could come to that or perhaps a picnic somewhere. Quantocks or Mendips (nearer you).

OP posts:
Rhubarb · 29/06/2009 16:10

I'm not too familiar with Bristol, so would prefer something a bit nearer and easier to get to/park in.

CAT me and we'll arrange summat!

mrsruffallo · 29/06/2009 16:11

OrmIrian, you have alovely figure. I suggest The good Life Felicity Kendall look

HuffwardlyRudge · 29/06/2009 16:13

Hey! You can't play my game if you're going to be all tall and slim and willowy with a great figure.

OrmIrian · 29/06/2009 18:36

BTW thanks for all your comments. I have been completely blown away by all the compliments. I always think of myself as this huge hulking beast of a woman. But it helps to know that others don't see me that way. DH tells me that I look OK but I take that with a pinch of salt - he has a vested interest after all

OrmIrian · 30/06/2009 10:47

Ahem! I have one little problem with MN advice. New bra which is perfect in every respect has given me a cleavage which feels incompatible with the dress I'm wearing to work today. I've worn it before without any problems because there wasn't much there. Now everyone is talking to my norks

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 30/06/2009 10:57

So you are tall, slim and willowy with tits?
And your problem is...........?

Lizzylou · 30/06/2009 10:57

If it does embarrass you to show off cleavage you could wear a vest top under more low cut tops.

OrmIrian · 30/06/2009 10:59

lizzy - It's just this dress and being in work. Elsewhere it would seem OK. It wasn't really a complaint

Penthesileia · 30/06/2009 12:00

You have a superb figure! Really and truly: you look great!

Personally, I think you'd look super in something like this - if you're worried about creating a waist (though honestly, I don't think you need to be), the fact that you can pull it in at the waist would create that kind of silhouette.

Lizzylou · 30/06/2009 12:05

Good, Orm, if I had a figure like yours I'd be permanently in a thong and tassles

OrmIrian · 30/06/2009 12:07

Ooh that is pretty penthe. Thanks

OP posts:
MiniMarmite · 30/06/2009 13:24

LOL OrmIrian, glad you've discovered your cleavage!

used2bthin · 30/06/2009 13:39

Where is this amazing bra from? I need a cleavage by saturday night!
