Comfy, casual sandals for toddlers

Dd is 2 and I have just returned a pair of crocs to John Lewis that cut her feet the first time she wore them.

She does have very soft feet, and I am keen to find a pair of sandals for her, ideally that can be worn on holiday, around the beach also. She is a size 5.

Does anyone have any ideas, they need to be really soft and comfy. TIA

Asda have some nice ones in. DS got some on Saturday from FIL and it's a struggle to get him to take them off!

I'll have a look on the Clarks website, but the couple of pairs that the lady in John Lewis showed me yesterday were a bit, erm, garish.

Sometimes you have to take the garish if they are comfortable! It is not the first time, dd ended up with boys shoes at that age.

i second doodles and yes they are garish but she is a 2 year old and does not do taupe.

PJ - I agree with Suwoo - the crocs in JL were shocking ime. I got T some proper ones from a shoe shop and they are fantastic

doodles were going half price at r&b last weekend. and if you think they are garish you should have a look at the leilli keilli (or wtf they are called)

chevre - no she doesn't do taupe, but I would like them to remotely match anything in her wardrobe

for the beach those wetsuit type shoes are good. how steady is she on her feet?

snigger @ match. you might as well enjoy matching her clothes now i suppose in a years time she will be assembling her own horrific combinations of outfits.

THEY WERE PROPER BLOODY CROCS!!!!!!!!! As if I'd put her in fakes!!

i think 2 is too wee for crocs.

I know they weren't fakes, but if you go to the croc shop or look on the website like i told you, you might find that she needs a larger size.

They are absolutely hideous.

I KNOW they weren't fakes but croc sizes really do vary depending on where you get them from. It took us 3 goes to get dsd's right

I also had some shoes from here for T and they were very soft. My only complaint was that the soles weren't very hard wearing (compared to clarks etc.) but they do some pretty sandals and they're reasonably cheap

My DD has these-they are so soft, with nice Birkenstock-style cork footbed, and softy straps, so nothing to cut in/rub.

Ha ha, she's wearing the white daisy squeakers today. They drive the nursery staff mad. But at least I don't lose her when she's wearing them.

They also cut her feet without socks

You can de-squeak them easily enough with a pin and stay away from A&E
