Need a Dress!

Kayzr · 15/06/2009 08:02

I have woken up this morning in a panic!! I need a dress for DS2's christening on the 5th July. I am a size 16 with an awful fat tummy, size 40E chest and my legs are ok.

I would really like something a bit colourful and I would say my max budget is £75. I also need some shoes.

Please help, thank you!!

The bravissimo dresses are fab, if there's nothing that you like on that though have you looked at Monsoon?
I am similar shape to you and I always find them flattering.
Will have a look.....

OK, here's a few:

Nice colour

Less Dressy

Nice

Patterned

All V neck for the large Norked lady, you could go for a trying on session and see what works for you?

Kayzr · 16/06/2009 07:57

I am hoping to go and try them on. I do enjoy trying clothes on.

I really like the 3rd one. Very pretty.

ooh, I've just bought that second Monsoon one that Lizzy linked to. The ruched waist thing is very forgiving, and it's a really nice length.

Are you sure you're a 40E? I only ask because I'd be amazed at someone with a 40 back measurement being a size 16-you're more likely a 36, but with a larger cup size.

It might be worth going to a decent bra shop-Bravissiomo are best-and getting measured before you go frock shopping.

This is fab, would look great with tan shoes, and you could wear it loads afterwards:

Love this one too:

Yes I am sure!! I couldn't do up a 36 if my life depended on it. That is what Bravissimo told me I was.

Oh, okay! Just thought it was worth checking!

Goober · 16/06/2009 09:42

this one?

Kayzr · 16/06/2009 13:44

Oh that is lovely!!

Did you choose one then?

Kayzr · 18/06/2009 07:19

Yeah I have ordered the Asda one and the 3rd Monsoon one. So will try them and see.

Thanks

OP posts:
Kayzr · 21/06/2009 07:50

Well the Asda one makes me look about 7 months pg and the monsoon one isn't much better.

this has a slight empire line, v neck bit of structure on top
red
gorgeous colour if you can wear it
wrap style though pattern/colour not hugely exciting
