Any experience of anti-wrinkle products that actually work!

I am in 40s and for most of my life have looked young for my age but unfortunately time is now catching up! I look OK but my frown lines and lines on forehead are starting to show - badly. Am actually considering Botox!

Any suggestions for something that actually tones down your lines - I know they won't go completely but would be interested to know.

Thanks!

Frownies - very stupid looking whilst on but I've really seen a difference with them. They leave little marks for a bit, so take them off first thing in the morning. They work better on my vertical frown lines than the horizontal raised eyebrow ones.

I like No 7 Protect & Perfect serum, too. Have been using Philosophy's When Hope is Not Enough serum but think the Boots one works better on me.

What didn't work that I really really wanted to work was Dr Brandt's Crease Release. Sigh. I'm going off Dr Brandt, I think.

Elemis pro collagen marine cream is the best I've ever used.

cornsilk · 14/06/2009 17:56

The pro cllagen serum is also good. You can get it from QVC or time to spa.

cornsilk · 14/06/2009 17:56

Eye serum that is.

duckyfuzz · 14/06/2009 17:56

Boots P&P serum is fab

Elemis pro collagen marine cream is superb and lasts ages but £££

freeze 24/7 is good for a night out
it makes no difference in the long run but can take years off you for a few hours

cornsilk · 14/06/2009 17:58

Yes it's ££££ - cheaper to get 100ml in the long run. I'm weighing up the difference between QVC and time to spa at the moment (different prices and freebies so very, very important!)

CountessDracula · 14/06/2009 17:58

here it is

fifitot · 14/06/2009 18:07

Thanks for the swift replies!

I swear by botox as the only cure( be it temporary) done right it looks fab.

mrsmaidamess · 14/06/2009 18:12

I rate Boots Time Delay. it has def. helped stop the progression of my expression lines. I also like Avon facelift and their eyelift gel/cream.

howtotellmum · 14/06/2009 18:22

you'll never eraselines that are already there- though you can use fillers that plump them out- not sure which but Loreal and Olay do some.

Have to be Botox- but start using sunscreen every day now- Clinique Sheer City Block is great- factor 25 or 40.

I exfoliate then really rub in bio oil at night, seems pretty good...
