I always cut my hair with clippers, it's shortist with a longer sweeping fringe. I was tidying the back up and the no.4 blade fell off. I used the bare blade twice up the back of my head before I noticed .

I cried for 1/2 hour non-stop .

Come and tell me it's stylist to wear a scarf as a headband.

Gosh... can it be covered with a hat?

cocolepew · 14/06/2009 15:35

I said to Dh I looked like a Madonna fan from the '80's.

It would need to be a hat that came down to the nape of my neck, the baldy bit (oh dear god) goes halfway up the right side. I don't think I could get away with wearing a beanie in work.

Oh crap. Work.

oooh I thought you were calling for me coco

awww

Headscarf will do the trick for the time being - can you get to a salon for a quick tidy-up next week?

cocolepew · 14/06/2009 15:40

There's nothing to tidy, BALD [sobs at name]

oh sweetheart

cornsilk · 14/06/2009 15:42

It'll start to grow back really quickly. I had shaved sides when I was a stoodent. Can you make it look like you meant to do it and shave off a bit more so it's even? (I really want to see your usual hair style now - it sounds fab.)

cocolepew · 14/06/2009 15:47

Cornsilk, I think within a week it might have grown in enough that I could use a no. 1 blade on the rest of the back.

It is fab (usually ).

I'm sorry I am laughing at your post as it reminds me of my dad doing exact same thing- he is bald but with hair on the back and sides- he accidently got the wrong blade so at the back ended up with a bald landing strip up to his bald patch- it was a shiny flash coloured lolly pop and how we laughed! He always wears a hat though so it didnt seem to bother him.

Can you try those thick scarfs 60's styley to tie and hide it:

or even a funky vera duckworth

Good luck!

Headscarf till then! Very Bananarama.

cocolepew · 14/06/2009 15:57

Thandeka, DH had me breaking into a sweat by saying "imagine you were cutting your hair and did it at the front" [shudder]
