HELP have brought dress/top for a party but unsure what to wear with it

Pic of dress on profile, although it does not do it justice imo. It is from New Look and I love it, but it is too short to wear as a dress so I hae to work out what to wear it with.

Option A seems to be leggings and flat ballet pumps.

Option B black tights and heels. But will i look daft in tights in June ?

It is only for a 50th party in a social club but I want to look nice.

Help please

Will go for leggings and ballet pumps then . Might have a look for a pair that are a similar colour to the yellow instead of black.

I did think it odd that someone with good taste to buy such a top would consider yellow leggings.
