Which pair of linen trousers - 5ft2, pear shaped.

Which of the many, many styles in the link below (M&S linen shop) would work well for me - I'm a short arse, 5ft 2, size 10 in M&S (12 elsewhere though) with a sizeable bum and thighs and a slimmer top.
Not keen on bootleg as I think they look a bit dated.

I just went to New Look and am very happy . I am a linen trousers perfectionsist and refuse to wear the kind that are four oblongs of linen sewn together with a bit of stringy fabric as a drawstring a la much of what Next, etc. has on offer.

Even Principles, and others take the piss with their annual linen trouser offerings imo.

I am also 5'2" and though not classic pear I wouldn't say my arse is small of my thighs nimble.

I wouldn't go for baggies, but something tailored and straight.
Wouldn't go for linen myself, it's one of my pet hates. I can't stand linen trousers-
I don't like the sweaty creased mess it turns into after a couple of hours
Sorry, not helpful I know

I'll get my coat

pigswithfludontfly · 03/06/2009 20:27

Which ones did you get from New Look hobbgoblin?

Got a beautiful pair 100% linen, really expensive looking........for £20 in Sainsburys!

cocolepew · 03/06/2009 21:34

Like akhems, I got Tesco ones, £15 and a deep waistband that holds wobbly bits in, they had some at £20 but I don't know what the difference was. I did have to take them up though and I'm 5'5".

right it's off to the supermarkets I go then! Are there changing rooms in Tesco and Sains though?
