i spent the better part of three decades without using straighteners, ever, so can you please tell me why

i cant stand tehway it looks without being straightneed?
i have looked at pitcures of myself from before, and i had lovely hair. i rarely did anything to it, other than brush it. yet, now, unless i straighern it with my ghd's i look like a duster, with splitends

You could stop and make yourself wear scarves or clip it up for a few weeks with no straightening and then have a trim and see what it's like then? Prob needs a break from the GHDs!!

mine has greyed with time and, like most grey hairs, it's gotten more wiry and coarse.

hence, i don't go out without using my ghd's to straighten.

My hair 10/15 yrs ago was lovely and straightish. I now go mad every day with my GHDs to get the same hair. I blame hormones - grr.
