At size 14 can I get away with skinny jeans and vest top?

What I was planning to wear out tommorow, used to wear them all the time when i was about a stone lighter, now worried I will be to big and look, well you know. So can I or is it a big no no?

I don't think you're too big. I'm a little bit smaller - size 12 - and wear skinnies but with longer tops that disguise my wobbly stomach. I'd say as long as the top is longish and not skin tight, you'll be fine.

Yes, I'm sort of between 12 and 14 and wear skinnies with vests all the time but, like snowmummy, I do wear longer ones as the skinny jean short top thing looks awful imo.

You'll be way too hot in skinnies surely?

As long as jeans and top fit and not too tight sure you'd look fine.

I do tend to think though that floatier tops look better with skinnies unless you're very young or slim.

OMG of course!! You'll look fab - go for it.

It's not the size of yor body that matters, it is the size of the clothes, and more importantly, that they fit.

So as long as the skinny jeans and vest top are the right size for you and don't cause bulges where there shouldn't be bulges or fall down too low revealing your knickers you'll be fine.

Erm I don't want to rain on your parade but it really depends on what type of figure you have. I'm size 14, 5'10 and have rugby player thighs and so wouldn't touch skinnies with a barge pole. PERSONALLY I don't think anything more than slim can get away with skinnies.
However if you are going to wear them make sure you do it with the attitude that you look great.

I have skinny legs, tis my middle that is wobbly, was planning on wearing my magic pants as well and no way ion this planet would any bit of my middle be escaping.

You will melt! I am size 14 too and prefer a looser top with skinnies. I think it looks better.

sockmonster where did you gt your magic panats? i tried the trinny and suzzaanna one the other daay but they where too long for m so ruffled up under my norks

I'm 5'11" and a size 14 and tbh I wouldn't wear skinnies or vest tops, but that's because my shape doesn't lend itself to that imo. I know women who are bigger than me that look great in tight fitting clothing.
What I'm trying to say is that, no, you are nto too big at all. It depends if you feel you look good and if they are a good fit.

A looser top would be my choice too. Also a vest top only if you have ok arms.

I'm a 14 bottom and tall but dont feel ok in skinny jeans only because they don't suit me. Other people look ok in them.

If I did wear them they'd have to be with higher shoes. The flat shoes/skinnies is only for v v petite imho.

magic pants are the spanx ones, they do come right up to your norks.

It depends on the shape of your body ,not your size. My best friend is a size 16 but is in proportion. She looks fantastic in skinny jeans. I am a size 10 to 12 and look awful in skinny jeans. We are about the same
height.
Women are too hung up on the size of clothing ,rather than the shape of their bodies

I'm size 14 and wear skinnies all the time. Not brave enough for a vest top without a little cover up, as have got upper arm and belly issues.

If you're size 14 and tall you're likely to be in proportion so it's fine.
If you're size 14 and small it doesn't look so good.

Really hard to tell. Skinny jeans and a vest top are very unforgiving of flab and lack of body tone: if you are firm and muscly, go for it. If you are limp and muffin-topped, that look won't do you any favours!
