yet another bra question

Hi All

I'm 27 weeks pg and up to now have managed fine in normal bras (just in a bigger size) however, they're starting to get uncomfortable and my norks have grown again.
So - do I buy a couple of maternity bras, or go straight onto the nursing kind with the flaps and straps and all?

It seems a bit of a waste to get a maternity bra for 2 and a bit months wear.

Maternity ones now.

You will more than likely need much bigger ones when your milk comes in, so no nursing bras yet (unless you can find ones that are cheaper than maternity)

I bought nursing ones and did not bother with maternity ones and this was fine for me.

The idea that they are going to get much bigger is a frightening thought . I already feel like lolo ferrari.

As far as I know (Im a trained bra fitter specialising in maternity and nursing) You can go up at much as 3 cup sizes from end of pregnancy til milk comes in.

I went up 2 cup sizes in pregnancy and 2 more after giving birth.

Whatever you do, make sure they are really supportive!

um, thats the bras are supportive...

I would get nursing ones really, if you're going to spend the money anyway I am usually a 36DD but went up to a 38F/G when bf. Even if they are slightly too small after the birth, they will be invaluable when your supply settles down a bit.
fwiw, I didn't bother with maternity bras second time round. I couldn't find any that were actually supoortive enough. It's worth looking into Anita nursing bras- they are underwired and are the only ones I'd ever buy now
