you see how far I've let my personal grooming slip ... haven't had a cut since Jan, and that was in Sydney ... so what should I expect to pay?
Thanks

I usually pay about £35 in a local town hairdressers (not top salon or anything.) Most hairdressers round here seem to charge around that for an experienced stylist, perhaps about £27ish for a more recently trained hairdresser.

cazboldy · 22/05/2009 09:11

£16

OrangeFish · 22/05/2009 09:11

I pay £35 in an Aveeda Salon, to a senior stylist (I think is £5 more if you go for a "style director"

LetThemEatCake · 22/05/2009 09:32

they usually charge a bit more for long hair don't they?

£20 something - maybe about £27?

blondissimo · 22/05/2009 11:11

My local hairdressers charges about £45 but if you are in London I'd say it would be a bit more. Suppose it depends how good the hairdresser is !

£60-odd for a graduate stylist at Richard Ward.

Morecrumbleplease · 22/05/2009 12:03
Blush

I have got medium to long hair and I pay about £35 for a cut and blow dry.

£18 for just a blow dry.

You will feel loads better for just having a trim and having someone else blow your hair.

You can be all swingy and swishy for the weekend!

YanknCock · 22/05/2009 14:08

I think about £32ish? Only get my hair cut about every 3 months though (when it starts to look really nasty and straggly). Or sometimes I cut it myself or have my completely untrained friend do it.

It's past the shoulders, long layers, no fringe, so easier to get away with not cutting for long periods.

I miss the cheap crappy place I used to go in the U.S. Walk-in appointments only, and just the cut (no blow-drying or 'product') for about $12.

smurfgirl · 22/05/2009 14:16

£31 I don't know if she is a senior stylist but she is fab. I had a total restyle last time and it was that price, I only have my hair cut every 4-6 months and my haircuts last so well.

Katisha · 22/05/2009 14:26

£60 yesterday but that's central London prices for you.

nappyaddict · 22/05/2009 14:27

I pay £42 for cut, colour and blowdry

hellywobs · 22/05/2009 14:56

I don't have a blowdry - I pay £24 for a wet cut normally but occasionally I go and treat myself at a more expensive salon which costs £38.

mrsmaidamess · 22/05/2009 14:59

£48 for cut and blow dry and the pleasure of being at the mercy of my handsome hairdressers manly hands....

JRocks · 22/05/2009 15:04

I pay about £80 for half head foils, cut and blow dry - think it's somewhere between £25 and £35 for what you want. Obviously depends on the salon and stylist though.

LetThemEatCake · 22/05/2009 15:26

Okay well I am central London
and have long hair (down to mid-back)

and am going to pay £70 for someone to come to my house and do it after the kids go to bed, so that I don't have to sort out childcare etc

so I am happy with that.

I live in Essex and I pay £50 for a cut and blow dry by senior stylist.

cornsilk · 22/05/2009 18:01

£45

SammyK · 22/05/2009 18:05

I pay £5 at local training college, but last haircut was the MN one for free.

themoon66 · 22/05/2009 18:08

£65. But it is a very precise sharp bob and takes ages to get right. I'm usually sat in the chair about 2 hours. It only needs doing about every 6 months.
