Do you like this? You could team it up with some chunky bangles, thick tights and heels?

MayorNaze · 20/05/2009 14:24

that's not half bad actually...

any ideas that aren't black at all? sorry to be fussy, i do actually really like that dress but the only black item of clothing i currently possess is a jumper...

When is it?Just trying to get an idea of weather.

MayorNaze · 20/05/2009 14:28

is next fri. will be walking round looking at posh fashiony stall-y things during the day, then changing for evening.

my cousin looks like she should be on hollyoaks (in a good way!) - i look like i should be on country file.

Your cousin sounds like a friend of mine or the day I'd wear leggings or skinny jeans with ballet pumps and a dress/tunic thing and cardi, that way you won't be too hot as can just take off the cardi but won't feel too summery if t rains. I am really rubbish at what to wear in the evening but a lot of people seem to wear short dresses out now. Its a safer bet. Oasis had some nice ones I'll link...

I really wanted this for my night out last week but didn't see it till it was too late to order. Not sure what the shoulder pads would be like though!

MayorNaze · 20/05/2009 15:25

link takes me back to mn?!

that is exactly what i'm planning to wear during day (phew!), thanks. reassuring to know i'm not completely fashionably challenged!

OP posts:
used2bthin · 20/05/2009 15:46

either that or we both are! the link did that to me too, I think it is right though. The dress is called shoulder pad dress, its new in on the oasis site so should be easy enough to find.

MayorNaze · 20/05/2009 16:01

found it! that is quite cool actually...

re tights - can i wear coloured ones do you think? or will i look more alexa does glastonbury than alexa does clothes show ?

OP posts:
used2bthin · 20/05/2009 16:11

Oh I'm not sure on tights. I would have worn leggings with that dress but I am tall so would have had to.
Unless you just mean generally? f so then I think yes you can wear coloured tights. I have got purple ones but wasn't brave enough to wear them!

MayorNaze · 20/05/2009 17:04

see i am brave enough for coloured tights but not for leggings!!!

so no to coloured tights for evening then? ok...will let you know what i decide...of shopping at wkend but will be emailing stylish cuz for advice first as well!

OP posts:
used2bthin · 20/05/2009 21:01

I'm sure coloured tights will be fine, you will have to be careful if you are also wearing a coloured dress though! (or is that fashionable I don't actually know so probably not the person to take advice from )
