Daft question re Pedicure and revolting feet

Ladies, am not from a background where beauty treatments were the norm, so please excuse the stupidity of this question. I have been given a voucher for a local beauty salon, fab gift and last time I treated myself to a facial. However as I'm due to go on hols in 3 weeks time, was thinking of having a manicure and pedicure. One of my feet though is not pleasant with peeling skin and a little athletes foot problem. Could I still have a pedicure or not?

Am just back from my first ever pedicure. It was lovely!

I'm sure they are used to dealing with everything but for the sake of the pedicurist I think I'd try to knock the athlete's foot on the head with one of the over the counter remedies (although I guess you've tried that already).

I've had a couple of pedicures and they are lovely. Really relaxing and the results look great and last a good few weeks.

I agree that the beautician will have seen it all before so don't worry too much about peeling skin. I would sort out the athlete's foot though. could you see your GP first to get a cream or powder and wait until that clears up? I'd book the pedicure for just before you go away so it still looks fresh when you're on hol.

Thanks all, am trying to sort out the AF prob but all creams etc say not to use if pregnant, which I am. Kinda thinking what the heck and using it anyway.

(BunnyAndJoon - Thanks,I no longer feel alone )

I don't have AF, but the skin isn't good and the nails are awful

I am really tempted though - I want to wear toeless stuff this year

Maybe see if the GP can prescribe something that's safe for use in pregnancy? Definitely get it sorted before going for a pedicure.
