Really, how can it be so difficult to find a navy blue pair of closed toe sandals?

I have trouble trying to get any for ds. Never have his size.
I did see some somewhere trying to remember where it was. Will have a think and post again

i remembered it was Asda

Bought some really nice ones for ds, but I winced a bit at the price. How much do you want to spend?

Pinkchampagne · 18/05/2009 16:01

Have you tried start rite?

wasabipeanut · 18/05/2009 16:06

I had a nightmare with this one this year. Took back 2 pairs before settling on a pair of blue jesus creepers from Next that actually fit ds's fat, square little feet!

Clarks had some closed toe sandals as I recall.

I too struggle with this every year. I have bought a pair from Ecco, but these are already showing signs of wear. Last year I bought a pair from Umi, these were lovely. You can find that make over the internet, but they are in smaller sizes, not big enough for my 6 year old. Happy hunting.

Is there anything suitable here? I got DD a pair of their shoes that had been worn only once off ebay for just over £5. They look very good quality and am quite tempted by their sandals too. Failing that, there are nice Naturino and Buckle My Shoe closed toe ones on here although one is red, the other is navy and I'm toying with either for DD (even if they are boy's sandals!).

By the way, I am wondering whether sandals would be a good idea for DS, who is coming up to 1, and cruising around (though not walking yet).

I would quite like navy, closed toe sandals also, if I convince myself it's time to buy that first pair of shoes!

Already looked at Startrite (only seem to do F fitting) and all the usual high street shops. Gap do a pair but they are quite casual and I wanted something a bit smarter. Asda didn't have any, did you see them in there this year shelley?

Sorry quick hijack - has anyone seen any grey sandals?

nappyaddict · 18/05/2009 22:02

Do you want closed or open toe ones?

I found some on the Vincent website but they don't do width fittings so not sure if they will fit or not.

nappyaddict - DD's feet were measured as a 6F in Clarkes a few weeks ago. The Vincent shoes I got her are roomy enough - I think continental shoes tend to be more generous as they don't do width fittings (though I may be totally wrong there!)

DS' feet seem to have got much fatter recently. Up until a month or so ago he always measures up as an F but usually on G fitting shoes fit him. Now he's measuring up as a H and some G fitting shoes still fit him but some aren't wide enough even if you go up a size.

What size did the TK Maxx ones go up to?

How much are they? Do they do width fittings/half sizes? Did you happen to spot any brown ones aswell? Seen some in Clarks but they are £26.
