Short hairstyles for little girls

My dd (age 4) is keen to get her hair cut shorter, I personally don't mind, I think she could look very cool and beautiful and all that but I have some concerns she'll regret it.

So I'd like to help her a bit by showing her some pictures of shorter hairstyles (esp. for little girls) to give her an idea of her options and then maybe some of girls with haircuts a little less drastic. But arrrgh I'm having a Google image prob.

Anyone care to help?

DD has a chin length bob with no fringe( I think it's very cute in a 1930's way)...she always wants it shorter. A boy at nursery had a number 1, and she wanted hers the same.

Slur, why on earth would your 4 year old regret it getting her hair cut shorter? Don´t you mean you might regret it?

I wouldn´t encourage a 4 year old to think so hard about her appearance and don´t think you should be so concerned with her image either.

Sorry if this sounds harsh.

It's tough one isn't it? She currently has long past shoulder length hair and no fringe but says she wants it all short.

I am inclined to think..
-It could look cool and lovely
-Its good to let her have some control over how she looks
-Its good to experiment and feel able to wrt to things like hair (less so drugs - least not at 4 years old)
-It'll grow back soon enough

But I am a bit worried she'll regret not being able to plait it etc.

dd has just had her hair cut from mid-back to a just-below-the-chin bob with a light fringe. Like nancy's dd, her hair is quite fine, and it's made a big difference - she looks extremely cute and pixie-like.

Arf - rein it in sacher!

She is getting a haircut tomorrow and I want her to have a bit of choice! snigger at me being overly precious about her appearance - yy I straighten her hair and fake tan her to the hilt

Or possibly she is (and I am) largely unconcerned and scruffy but every now and again she likes to put her her up in weird and wonderful ways which short hirstyles would exclude!

Sorry all (I´m not a regular on Style & Beauty for reasons now obvious to you.

But when she realises she can´t plait it etc. so what? Point out there´s nothing to plait! My lo wasn´t disturbed by this at all, when I pointed it out to her, never mentioned it again..
