Towelling dressing gown - why so hard to find nowadays...?

Am desperate for a new dressing gown but only like towelling ones - hate those fluffly fleece type ones that are the ONLY ones available now. Why have they done away with towelling? The fleece ones don't absorb water so when I fling it one after a bath I feel all wet and uncomfortable.

Please help me!! Anyone seen any nice towelling ones around?

I remember having this problem too.

The last towelling ones I bought were from Debenhams -mine was a Jasper Conran one and DP's was from one of the concessions in there (possibly Maine?)

Primark do them and Sainsbury's sometimes had lovely Champney's ones around Christmas. Google Champney's.

Thank you

Norbert - the one I am wearing is actually JC too but cost me £45 as was only one I could find. It's cream and really manky now but certainly can't afford £45 ATM.

Habitat do fabulous thick towelling ones, they're not cheap but they're really good. Am sporting a fetching red one right now! Gin

next outlet (Choice) usually has some and they are very good value

also, Primark and Matalan often do towelling but they aren't as thick as the pricier ones

John Lewis always have in stock

La Redoute have nice ones, from about £25.

MamaHobgoblin · 09/05/2009 18:43

these are about £17, not bad.

Debenham's but £45!

Ribbed for your comfort?

I got one from Shapely Figures 3 years ago for birth of dd.

Still going strong!
