is there any way of me wearing this without looking like the sugerplum fairy? LOL.

I am not massively fat just not particularly skinny either my legs are my worst feature!

Should I wear over skinny fit trouser tucked into my boots or with tights and boots?

HELP any suggestions would be good because my fashion sense is up my arse somewhere!!!

Thanks

a tutu?

sorry, but thats bloody juvenile

I would hate that with a vengeance

tutus should not be seen on any woman unless she is a prima ballerina or under the age of 8 or summat

I would find an excuse not to go to the party

mamadiva · 05/05/2009 09:36

LOL I can't it's me that's in charge of the bloody party, it's for my little cousin he is right into dressing up to go out so...

Between the 10 of us somehow tutu's have been ordered and tshirts have been massacred LOL

I am only 22 and it's to go clubbing etc so should be a laugh... just asking for an opinion.

Also it's meant to be juvenile, it is an 18th bday sheesh lighten up

I would go for tights or skinny jeans/trousers tucked into boots or with heels. At the end of the days your just having a laugh for someones birthday. Just go nuts and have fun, its not like you will be the only one wearing the outfit!

LauriefairycakeeatsCupid · 05/05/2009 09:38

If you're 22 you will look gorgeous - put lots of pink sparkly stuff round your eyes, it will draw attention to your sparkly eyes and skin (which will be all dewy at 22 )

TrillianAstra · 05/05/2009 09:39

Aw, it could be fun AF, chill. She's said she does want to go.

Can you get a neon tutu or similar (more 90s rave less sugarplum fairy), with black jeans/tights/leggings? Black boots with heels and black whatever on your legs will elongate your legs, and TBH people will be too distracted by the tutu to worry if your legs are not the skinniest.

AnyFucker · 05/05/2009 09:42

< stamps off, muttering..."party-pooper, moi?..." >

sorry md, you do what you like, love

don't listen to me (old guffer)

but don't blame me when you get the photographs back !!

mwah-ha-ha-haaaaaaaaa

mamadiva · 05/05/2009 09:45

LOL thank you.

We have loads of tutu's yet too decide who is wearing what colour LOL. We have-

neon pink/black,
neon yellow/black,
neon green/black,
neon blue/black
neon orange/black.

Could be worse we had a full blown argument the other night about whether to get matching neon leg warmers (I said no!)

< goes off to do some flower-arranging or summink equally dull and middle-aged >

mamadiva · 05/05/2009 09:56

Is it just the skirt, or the whole thing?

TrillianAstra · 05/05/2009 11:10

I thought a tutu was just the skirty thing.

I assume they mean the net bit anyway, not the leotardy thing as well.

TrillianAstra · 05/05/2009 12:07

See I really want a reason to go out wearing one of them Looks fun.

mamadiva · 05/05/2009 12:09

Don't suppose you live in the Highlands? TA

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 05/05/2009 12:10

I was hoping it was just the skirty bit

I would say either thick tights/leggings or skinny jeans but with no pockets

TrillianAstra · 05/05/2009 12:16

Nope sorry softie Southerner me.

Just need to persuade my friends to do some dressing up, we've all got old over the past year, used to do loads of fancy dress.

mamadiva · 05/05/2009 12:17

Right so how about-

Black skinny fit (As skinny as they come in my size LOL),
Tucked inside my black suede boots or outside them?!,
With my rather funkified tshirt I have to say,
I am thinking bold make up not sure of colours though
And hair NO IDEA there is nothing that can be done with it, my hair is poker straight down to mid shoulder blades, up or down?

I must put pics on here after the night LOL.

What colour tutu will you have? Lots of black eyeliner + a bit of the bright colour on your eyelids (we're thinking goth-ish here right?)

I think jeans inside boots - get a better shape for pretending to have long legs.
