Finally found a dress for BF's wedding! Now just need accessories...

So, I finally found the dress I'm going to wear to my BF's wedding in under a fortnight. Bought one yesterday, regretted it, so went back to shops today. This is the dress I found and I have bought these shoes to go with it.

I have found a bag on Ebay wich I hope will complement the shoes.

Now for the accessories... any ideas for a hair piece/fascinator? Jewellery?

Thanks!

No ideas for you sorry but I just wanted to say that dress is gorgeous. What length is it?

cupofteaplease · 04/05/2009 18:20

snowmummy- it sits around knee length, perhaps slightly shorter.

I'm glad other people like it- I will continue my accessory hunt!

ok dont know how you feel about hair fascinators as not everyone likes them (i do i love them) but heres a couple

red

another

bracelet

jenk1 · 04/05/2009 18:24

personally i wouldnt wear a necklace with that dress as it would detract from the bow and look too fussy but thats only me!!!

cupofteaplease · 04/05/2009 18:55

Thanks jenk1- I like the red comb fascinator, vry pretty. But can I get away with wearing purple shoes and bag with a red hair piece?

I have bought a few gold bangles online to wear, but perhaps you are right about not wearing a necklace. I will have to tan my non-existant cleavage and apply some bronzing powder instead!

oh yes some nice fake tan and bronzing powder will look good and gold bangles.

yes i think you can get away with purple and red and gold as they are "regal" colours and go nicely.

you,ll have to put a pic up of the day so we can all see what you looked like

cupofteaplease · 05/05/2009 19:24

jenk1- will do!

I may go to Accessorize this weekend to have a look at the comb fascinator- unless anyone can think of anything else that might work?

Woo, really excited about tomorrow- it's the big day! Found this but in navy to wear with it and have a gold bangle and gold drop/hoop earrings. Only prob is, the dress is really a size too big, so has the potential to look a little sack of spudsy... I hope I can pull it off.

I am really disappointed, read all the messages saying how good the dress is and they must have sold out because the link isn't working now, I wanted to see it! Anyway I will take thier word for it,hope you have a good time!

cupofteaplease · 15/05/2009 20:51

Hey used2bthin(me too, btw!), I've just had a look on the John Lewis website and you are right, they have no more left!

However it is this top but longer, to knee length, if that makes sense!

Oh well then I agree with everyone, it is gorgeous! I wish we had John Lewis here, or House of Fraser. I think gold accessories will be perfect with it.
