some Nike Shox trainers

I'm going on holiday in a couple of weeks and wanted something that was comfortable to walk around in yet wouldnt make my feet look mahooooosive (I'm a size 8.5/9).

I cant wear toe post sandals and canvas type shoes always look huge on me so I wanted trainers.

Found some Nike Shox in a factory outlet for £24 and they are the most comfortable things I have ever put on in my life. They are also thin so make my feet look unbelievably small!

However, I have a horrible feeling I'm going to look ridiculous walking around in Shox. DD tells me I'm far too old for them

Please tell me they'll look beautiful

Will need a picture of them on your feet before I can properly judge you.

Will try and take a photo later once I've done tea etc.

DD refuses to take a picture of me wearing them because she 'doesn't want me showing her up on the internet'

But I am not a style and beauty guru or expert by any stretch of the imagination, so I wouldn't breathe a sigh of relief yet. You need someone more equipped to give you a verdict!

GossipMonger · 04/05/2009 18:37

How old are you?

Unless you are 91 with a shopping trolley, wearing orange tights and a knee length skirt I think they look great!!

traceybath · 04/05/2009 18:43

Well i'm not a trainers person unless for exercise so not my cup of tea.

But won't your feet get a little hot and sweaty if you're going somewhere warm?

Ultimately though you need to be comfy so if they're comfy - enjoy them.

TequilaMockinBird · 04/05/2009 19:20

GossipMonger, I'm 30 - which is ancient in DD's eyes (shes 11 )

Oh good so can I wear them without any 's then you reckon?

And yes my feet will be horrendously hot and sweaty but I'd rather that than blisters, cuts and aching feet tbh!

I like them!! I have the same problem with DD who is 7 and dislikes alot of what I try to pick. I sometimes ask her to pick me somehhing and she seems to have good taste!

I did think this thread was going to be about crocs though!

TequilaMockinBird · 05/05/2009 21:25

andirobo I have crocs too - 2 pairs in fact

No wonder my DD thinks I'm a 'freak'
