Which shampoo will keep my hair smelling fresh and nice all day?

I commute to London and wash my hair every morning - and always give it a good scrub down to the scalp.

Have tried pantene, Alberto balsam tea tree, Vosene but scalp still gets v oily and then it smells funny by about 3pm. Euw. It's doing my head in. Any advice please???

Have you tried dry shampoo to put on your hair during the day? I've never heard of anyones hair smelling that quickly after a wash....maybe you should see your doctor.

there's a chemical called sodium lauryl sulfate or SLS for short, that is in most high street shampoos, it's actually an industrial chemical used for cleaning off oils, it also produces a nice foam.

It may be your scalp over reacting to being stripped of all it's oils, especially if you wash your hair everyday.

you can get shampoos/soaps without SLS and so have a try of those, it may take a few weeks for your hair/scalp to realise that it doesn't need to overdose on oil production. Most high street shops do now stock organic shampoos which won't contain SLS so they are easier to get hold of
