Fit Flops?

Well, stylish they ain't, but I am trying to lose pounds of postnatal blubber which I am trying to lose by walking, (amongst other things) and I have some Selfridges vouchers, and I just wondered if these were any good. Or are they just another swizz? It's those or MBTs (asked about those before and didn't really get a clear answer as to whether they were any cop!)

Anyone who believes that a pair of flip flops can shify a wobbly arse deserves to be fleeced.

You know the naswer m'dear.
Move more.
Eat less.
Ergo it should actually cost less all things considered.

grim and a con

LadyThompson · 30/04/2009 17:04

Thanks for those pearls, Moondog. I am not unacquainted the laws of physics. But my baby is really little, I live in the country so can't get to a gym, and walking is easy for my circumstances. Just wondered if they might help speed things up. Er...guess not

You don't need the gym!
Get thee out into the green free gym with a backpack. Lugging the baby around burns calories, let me tell ye!

SusieDerkins · 30/04/2009 17:06

I have some. I've no idea if they work or not as I'm a gym bunny/runner anyway. However I do think they are v comfortable and I hang out in them a lot over the summer.

LadyThompson · 30/04/2009 17:08

I do hope so...

Disappointing about the fit flops though!

I was hoping for a panacea

I wear them as I have a bad back and they oddly seem to help.

Cellulite has gone (but joined gym at same time) so reckon they help but sadly no magic bullet.

needahand · 30/04/2009 17:12

I have both fit flops and MBT (old and ugly style). The MBT you can definitely feel working. The Fitflops for me are a flop, can't feel any difference whatsoever but as Susie said, they are comfortable

tostaky · 30/04/2009 17:50

i bought a pair yesterday, i got the cheaper, older model.
i did felt some aches in the front of my thights this morning.
they are very comfy thats for sure.

i cant say more sorry!

YaddaYaddaYadda · 30/04/2009 21:28

Well I've just bought some (they arrived today) and I'm v pleased with them as they're really comfy. I got these sequinned ones in black and I think they're ok (not too unstylish!)

JackBauerkillspigs · 30/04/2009 21:35

I have fit flops, I wear them around the house and for school run, they are comfy and did make my thighs ache to start with but I am doing cross trainer now so all thigh ache is covered by the pain fro that

Onlyaphase · 30/04/2009 21:41

I didn't find them comfortable at all I'm afraid, but I'm probably too used to crocs for walking around in. Didn't seem much point in me having fitflops if they discouraged me from walking further.

But, I did sell my barely worn fitflops for over £20 on Ebay this week, so if you do buy them and they don't suit you, you shouldn't lose all the purchase money anyway.

joliejolie · 01/05/2009 17:23

I find mine really comfortable, but have not seen a difference yet. My legs were killing me the first few days though.
I know what you mean about living in the country LadyThompson. I also live in a rural area, so unless I want to traipse across a farmers field (complete with sheep) or risk my life on a single track country road, there aren't many places to walk!
The most walking I do is when I travel into Cheltenham once a week.
