Can anyone suggest a REALLY good tinted moisturiser for dry skin please?

Basically I want to look like I've got lovely dewy-fresh skin, but every foundation I try seems to cling to the dry bits of my skin (however hard I try to get rid of them) so thought a tinted moisturiser might be the answer. Can anyone recommend a good one please?

Bobbi Brown have some good stuff.

I saw thread title and thought Bobbi Brown . They do a Tinted Balm - i.e tinted moisturiser - which is not cheap but has high SPF factor and is great stuff.

Here's a third vote for Bobbi Brown tinted balm. Use a good serum or a bit of oil underneath, and you're away.

Chanel Hydramax tinted moisturiser is fabulous. I have dry skin and have been using this for a few months now with great success. I even wore it whilst skiing (when my skin really suffers) and came home with a beautifully soft complexion despite the elements . It also contains spf15.

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser is fab. Even better if you use the foundation primer first to smooth your skin.

Another vote for Laura Mercier (make sure it's not the oil-free version though!), it's the only one I've found that doesn't do that thing of clinging to dry patches (theouh I haven't tried the Bobbi Brown balm except on my hand, it felt a bit heavy for my liking).

Has anyone tried the new Olay/Max Factor one, that's selling itself more as a moisturiser than as makeup?

Laura M is good

Soap and Glory glow moisturiser is fab and fairly cheap - £9 I think. Just started using it and really pleased. I also use the Benefit version which is nice but twice the price.

Body shop Vitamin E - about £8 & good & easy to apply.

I also use You Rebel by Benefit and find it really nice. Its cheaper than Bobbi Brown stuff too.

ruddynorah · 01/05/2009 11:59

you need to try the oil cleansing method.

moaningminnie2020 · 02/05/2009 15:07

Not strictly a tinted moisturiser, but Clinique 'almost makeup' is a v lightweight base that evens skin out a bit and fine on my dry face, very forgiving of slapdash application too.

Vichy tinted moisuturiser is good for a dewy look,

I use the Boots protect and perfect moisturiser, and add a tiny bit of my (expensive) foundation to it. (I squeeze a small dollop of moisturiser into my hand, and add a much smaller dollop of foundation to it, mix the two together, then apply to face).

It works very well IME.

sweetcat · 02/05/2009 17:19

Agree with little frogs - use your usual moisturiser and a little foundation together.
