Me. Not at this present moment, though.

foofi · 29/04/2009 14:48

Yes, me.

used2bthin · 29/04/2009 14:49

Yes, trying to grow out the layers so I can do it less but have got a side fringe so will still go over that.

Why do you ask, B&E?

snowmummy · 29/04/2009 14:50

Yes me. I have short hair that kinks in all the wrong place so need the straighteners to sort it out!

Why? I'm curious!

BrendaAndEddie · 29/04/2009 14:58

Just because I am aware its going out of fashion.

I do sometimes but just to take off the frizz, not to make it poker straight anymore.

NorbertDentressangle · 29/04/2009 15:05

I do, but not to get the "ironed whithin an inch of its life" look.

I tend to do it when I've washed it (every other day) but don't bother in between. Its just to stop the wayward bits from sticking out.

bunnymother · 29/04/2009 15:10

I do it sometimes, but agree w bluebump that do not make it poker straight. Just straightened till it is docile and sitting nicely.

PuppyMonkey · 29/04/2009 15:12

Yes. I ain't giving up those things not for no-one. My hair looks bloody awful if I don't try and tame it somehow.

JRocks · 29/04/2009 15:14

Me too, but not in a poker straight fashion either. I tend to curve mine as I go to put body and wave into it, IYSWIM. My hair can get quite out of control, not in a lovely wild curly way, but in a random wave and frizz style - GHD saves the day sometimes.

Also invaluable for controlling disobedient fringes.

Tinker · 29/04/2009 15:15

I do because frizzy hair will never be fashionable. I'm not keen on the poker straight look but frizz, no no no. Have had straighteners of some sort for over 20 years now.

canella · 29/04/2009 15:18

i'm going to do mine tonight - i've got mad curly hair which i love but we've got visitors for the weekend and its just less hassle if its straight - if i do it tonight it'll stay straight for a week before it starts to be greasy!

frazzledgirl · 29/04/2009 18:09

Of course! I have a very choppy cut and very thick unruly hair - without my beloved GHDs I'd look like Susan Boyle...

ThePhantomPlopper · 29/04/2009 19:10

Me.

Fashionable or not, i won't be parting with my GHDs anytime soon.

I don't over do it, just use it to get rid of any frizz.

SusieDerkins · 29/04/2009 19:12

I'm not sure that it is going out of fashion. Every time I watch some crappy tv programme it's got someone with seriously straight hair on it. Mind you, that's itv2 for you....

claireybee · 29/04/2009 19:13

Yep, have never done dead straight though, just enough to stop it being a frizzy puffball

Paolosgirl · 29/04/2009 19:25

Ditto here - I've got thick hair that kinks all over the place, so I give it a quick run through with the staighteners and either turn the ends under or flick them out a bit. I don't go for the poker straight effect though. When I look back at photos of us all in the 80's pre serum and straighteners I'm reminded of how much of a godsend they are.

BeehiveBaby · 29/04/2009 19:27

I do it straight but my sister does this incredible twisty loose waves thing with GHDs ... she is very talented and has beautiful hair

NotmyELFtoday · 29/04/2009 19:30

my sister is a hair dresser and can do amazing curls with her ghds
