What's your hair like?

I seem to have had a bit of a choppy bob (think Davina McCall)for ages. My hair is pretty thick, can be wavy or straight depending on how it's dry and is blonde. Thinking of either growing it or going short. Looking for inspiration - what's your hair like and do you love/hate it? How easy is it to 'do'? And what's the best haircut you ever had?

think my problem is I've done everything. Long and short and all in between. All colours from peroxide through red to black. And the older I get the less I can carry off I find. Went back to short post-ds and it was a lot less flattering on a knackered 33 year old me than when I was a fresh faced 23 year old. Is this it? Will I be buried with a choppy bob?

AngelCakeUmm - I actually prefer it short, but I can never decide which suits me best.

I'll probably grow it for a few months then get it all chopped off and go back to being a lezzie!

Erm - why do you ask???

Sorry Emmatom, I got distracted with chores there for a while. Obviously whilst flicking hair around in a swooshing style wondering whether I should brush it again, or whether I would hurt my eyes with the shine...

Actually it's a funny thing. I always think my hair looks rubbish most of the time.

So therefore I can't say I think it looks great all the time however I washed my hair one morning last week, forgot even to brush it and left it to dry and when I went out I got told how fab it looked, and so I thought "well, if I can go out without even brushing it and get a compliment, who am I to argue eh?". Therefore when I saw this thread - I had to make a statement!!!

Really. Will shut up now... Ahem.

My hair is very very straight, and fine but I have a lot of it iyswim

My current hair cut is long (down to my bra at the back) with lots of choppy layers, the shortest layer comes to my chin. I also have quite a heavy swept across fringe.

Love this haircut. Very easy when I go to work because I can just pull it into a ponytail and when I go out it takes me 10 minutes to dry and the layers give it shape.

Its my natural colour which is dark brown. I get lots of compliments on that because I don't have any dye on it its very shiny and healthy looking.
