Facial pigmentation change after pregnancies. How do you cover up?

I am looking for some advice from all you experts on MN. I have noticed that on my face, near my temples, the pigmentation of my skin ha changed. I think it is as a consequence of 2 pregnancies (cannot remember the name of the condition but quite common in pregnancy!). It looks like I have caught the sun I guess but pull my hair away and it is like half of the skin is fair the other more tanned, with what looks like age spots but are not!

I hope that makes sense....

Has anyone else suffered with such pigmentation change? if so how have you covered it up or had it removed (someone suggested a facial peel-ouch, or micro dermabrasion)

Please advise.....

Hi, I suffered when my DS was born and went to see a dermatologist who prescribed me a cream to make it fade (didn't work)and discouraged me from lazer removal as he said the scarring would be more noticable. I find that a good concealer covers it (using Clinique at the moment) and I use a sun block in the summer as it tends to be more pronounced if I've been in the sun.
Hope this helps.

Clinique do a skin cream which is supposed to lighten the brown patches ( chlosama? sp?) over 6-8 weeks. Have a look at the website.

It's called chloasma, the "mask of pregnancy" and you can buy special, mineral cover up to conceal it. If you search on chloasma, there are several threads on it and there is a link to the mineral cover up. Sorry, am in rush so can't do a link.

Definitely wear sun block though as mine darkens a lot in sunlight and it's on my top lip. so not a good look.
