ok I know its a rubbish subject.... but could anyone give me an opinion on either of these, or suggest something else?

I have a simple dress, short hair (Rhianna style) so a proper tirara/veil wouldnt work properly, so I'm desperatly trying to find an alternative.

headband 1

side tiara omega lily

I wish I could find a decent shop to go and try them on as ordering online isnt really idea is it?

I like the lily one.
When I got married I couldn't find a tiara to suit, so I got a plain silver headband from the craft/haberdashers bit of John Lewis, and then went to Claire's Accessories and got a load of pearl and crytal necklaces, unstrung them all and made a tiara using wires and a hot glue gun. I have big curly hair so I need a lot of beads, you sound like you could get away with a more delicate style so you probably wouldn't need the glue, wires would do. It worked really well and cost about £7.50 in total .

Have you looked in Debenhams? I got mine from there.

FabulousBakerGirl · 27/04/2009 12:55

Couldn't see the second one.

headband 1 IMO is not worth £83.

geordieminx · 27/04/2009 12:56

Second one is under silver, then side placement, then lily, bt if you dont think the first one is worth £83 I wouldnt look at the second one... its £129

There are some intersting tiaras on folksy. Some more expensive, but some very reasonable!

smurfgirl · 27/04/2009 16:49

Hmmm. I had my tiara made for me by this lady- www.eastbeachdesigns.co.uk/ it was lush, my favourite thing about the wedding.

Your best bet is to get to a larger wedding fair because there are often people there who sell tiaras, also try bridal shops.

I can recommend more online shops who will make a tiara for your needs, if you e-mail them a photo of you/your dress etc.

meep · 27/04/2009 16:57

Geordie there are some wedding fairs coming up in the west - you might find some to try on there?
