What summer tops for work/office? Everything is too frilly/revealing!

This is my first summer in the office for 3 years and I wore out all my previous tops on mat leave.

What do you wear to an office job in the summer? There seems not to be a single blouse/shirt in the shops (except nasty cheap ones) but loads of drapy/silky/fussy tops which seem a bit too much hard work and not very professional looking.

I am at a loss.

not even a teeny ruffle/ frill? couldn't you? so pretty...

Wear dresses.

I tend not to wear blouses or shirts because of norkage so in the summer I tend to wear cotton or silk tops with short or three-quarter length sleeves. I got a lovely one in the sale in Gap - short sleeves, scoop but not indecent neck, lovely light cotton.

This is cute and smart unless v stuffy work
environment.

Shirt bit more formal?

This is cute

Thanks for ideas. (Ideally stretch) Cotton shirts are exactly what I can't find. Like janeite I'm rather well endowed so absolutely can't do high necks otherwise the pink top is pretty. Gap had a lot of shirts but likewise all high neck/smock style rather than fitted.

Janeite the second shirt is nice that might be a serious contender.

I really don't do dresses! I don't have the legs or shoes for them and also have to go out on site a fair bit. When I wear a skirt I feel too self-conscious and uncomfortable.

Was looking at this sort of thing not sure whether the sleeves are a bit too short.

dresses are really good but if you need to wear trousers for practical reasons, then smart T shirts. It's difficult to find nice summer ones (ie not black) and they do really need 3/4 sleeves but once you find one, then buy the entire stock.

I have a very stuffy professional job and haven't worn a shirt in about 10 years, I hate them and can't be doing with buttons (norkage problem!).

Also, T shirts don't need ironing. What's not to like.
