My swimming costume has just died, where can I get a nice new one ?

I need one stylish enough to go on holiday, but also go swimming once or twice a week.

I'm 39, size 12-14 and fairly generously endowed in the chest department.

I have had a look at the M&S ones and most of them seem suitable if you are in your 50s and heading off to a cruise ( apologies for anyone in that situation who I have inadvertently offended), the Boden ones are £££ and either too skimpy or unpleasant hotchpotch colours and well I tried to look in Sainsburys on the way home today but DS was too tired and had a hissy fit when I tried to lift him out of the car.

All suggestions gratefully received, ideally something other than black would be nice.

what style are you looking for?

I have just bought an M&S one in black - it has wired cups and a sort of key-hole effect on the bust- they do it i n various colours. I actually think M&S have some nice ones this year- but the one i really wanted- a bandeau type- was sold out in most sizes.

p.s- have you looked at the M&S website and not just in the stores? the stores tend to keep just a small range.

Have you tried Lands End ? They have quite a good range, and they are excellent quality

rookiemater · 26/04/2009 18:49

I haven't looked at lands end will do that. Howto I'm looking for something that hoicks my boobs up, but is sensible enough to be able to swim in.

Bravissimo have lovely swimwear

frostyfingers · 27/04/2009 09:45

Try La Redoute - I haven't looked for a while, but got a very good, wired one from there which I've worn so much it's falling apart.

JustCallMeGoat · 27/04/2009 09:55

someone recommended landsend to me yesterday. apparently they last forever adn are v. good at sizing.

rookiemater · 27/04/2009 14:56

I checked Landsend, they are expensive, so good to know that they might last for a long time. Will try La Redoute thanks ff.
