so at work we're all talking and some of them have had their eyelashes dyed

I cant wear eye makeup now as hayfever makes my eyes very sore and I wear contacts.

Is it safe to dye?
How long does it last?
have you ever done it?
does it actually look good? or do you still need mascara anyway?

I have had odd lumps on my eyelids in my teens...will this be too risky?

And finally...where does it (very reputable but not too expensive)?
Thanking you X

Have been dying my lashes myself for years. I used to go to a salon but its just as easy and cheaper to do it yourself and it only takes 10 minutes. Its supposed to last 28 days or so but I prefer to do it more often as my lashes are very fair. Naturally darker lashes probably would last the 28 days. Ive just actually bought new dye today (£3.91 for 12 applications) but I find that I get more than 12 from a box. I find it is ok during the day but I would add an extra touch of mascara if going out. I have found that clear mascara looks good on dyed lashes. Ive never had any problems but it does sting if you accidentally get it in your eye. If you do it yourself you are advised to do a skin test 24 hours or so before to chech for reaction. I would imagine most beauty salons would do it and would probably be able to advise whether or not it was safe for you bearing in mind your history of lumps.

I've had mine dyed a few times and I wear soft contacts and have quite sensitive eyes. It's always been fine but I tend to wear my glasses for the rest of the day as my eyes can sting a bit. The places I've gone to have always insisted on doing a patch test (behind ear) a few days before to check I wasn't allergic to the dye.

oooh may try myself (from boots? )

and after initial stinging no other problems? and do you in any way use eyemakeup remover? does any remover remove the dye? I am confused.....
