High risk. I'd be getting out my needle and thread.

Who am I kidding? I'd be taking them to the dry cleaners to be altered!

I used that iron on hem stuff to take up the hem on mine. I think you're meant to sew over the top, but I didn't bother. I had to redo it once over the summer (of wearing them practically every day) when it wore out from too much washing, but still easier than actual sewing

brimfull · 23/04/2009 14:05

yeh you're right, will bung in the wash first though

Where did you buy them? I'm after some very long linen trousers (36 inside leg).

Just cut and hem....

AnyFucker · 23/04/2009 19:33

noooooooo

you will never get the creases out if you tumble-dry 'em

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 23/04/2009 19:35

How long? Can you just hem them or do they need a trim first?

Step away from the tumble dryer!!

brimfull · 23/04/2009 19:46

I am washing them then I'll do the hemming tape .
Don't want to cut cut may have to.
Annoyingly I want them long enough to wear with high wedges but also low enough to wear with flip flops

decisions decisions!

Yes wash then hem - they always lose a bit of length IME.

Don't tumble them though, they'll never recover!
