Don't you have to wear a slip?

Can you handwash it, and use fabric conditioner?

BecauseImWorthIt · 21/04/2009 10:39

orangina - I thought about saying that but felt far too old to have even thought it!

you need a petticoat

Boco · 21/04/2009 10:40

You need to roll in flour before putting it on.

Hairspray

We were told by the shop assistant in Monsoon, to spray hairspray between the layer of the dress and the lining, I really hope it works because my two daughters are bridesmaids for their uncle's wedding this Saturday .

TDWP - ooh, you were three seconds before me!

If you are wearing tights, rubbing some body lotion into the tights stops any fabric sticking to them.

pokeydot · 21/04/2009 10:44

it hasnt got a second layer!!!
would i just do it on the inside?

I had this problem and sprayed a solution made of water with a bit of fabric conditioner in it - it worked and just smelt nice.

chuffinell · 21/04/2009 14:29

i use a tumble dryer sheet - just rub it over the inside of the dress and static goes

helps if you moisturise your legs too

squeaver · 21/04/2009 14:30

yes hairspray's the thing

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 21/04/2009 18:36

Can totally recommend hairspray too. I sprayed the hairspray all over the top of my opaques and that stopped my silk dress from riding up.

AnyFucker · 21/04/2009 18:40

make sure you use conditioner in your hair too

IslingtonDi · 22/04/2009 14:23

John Lewis sell an anti-static spray for exactly this purpose. It's fab! Can't remember the name, but it's not a Waitrose product... It's about £3.50 a can. Well worth it.
