I've decided I want to go a bit boho this summer, help me branch out please, any ideas for floaty tops/ blouses?

I want to branch out from my safe, conservative summer wardrobe which consists mainly of linen skirt, plain vest, plain wrap cardigan or linen trousers and plain top with wedges, usually from White Stuff, Fat Face or similar. I have about 50 variations of the same thing.

I've bought a couple of white smock style tops to wear with jeans which I already love. I'm 5ft 7, size 12, hourglass figure with long legs (sounds better than it looks!) I'm not that keen on bold prints or clashing colours. I'm not really that trendy either tbh, my style icon is probably someone like Jennifer Aniston.. anyone seen anything nice or can suggest anywhere for me to look?

I'm not going to be much help here, but your wardrobe as it stands sounds lovely. I think that might be the way I need to head - where did you get your white smock tops from? I have a real problem with summer clothes - never feel quite comfortable.

What about Ted Baker? Their stuff never fits me, but my SIL has a similar shape to you and buys a lot of things there, and always looks very nice.

You cannot get better than white stuff in my opinion.

thanks clure!

All nice tops but really like the first one in particular even though it's not my usual thing at all - feel a trip to Warehouse coming on. Only problem I am a bit norky (34dd) so might have a bra issue with that or strapless.

And I do love White Stuff, it's just that I have practically the whole shop. It's so bad that when I go in, the shop assistant greets me by name and shows me the new stuff they've had in since my last visit

I love things by Part Two, In Wear and Noa Noa but not sure if they have UK websites. Will look at Ted Baker, used to shop there a long time ago and had loads of those short sleeve t shirts with the logo on the front!

and snickersnack, white smock tops from Fat Face - plain sonoma one, not sure if it's still in stock. Also have one from White Stuff (website down so can't link) which is definitely still in. And I really want this one but am sitting on my hands..

It is lovely, v similar to my White Stuff one though. Found some nice things on Great Plains and Kew site. I'm terrible once I get something in mind, last year I bought about 20 tunic tops...

Love the whitecompany tunic top! I dont tend to wear longish tops as I'm short, I feel they swamp me a bit - they always look so nice on others though

some pretty tops here
